Never regret being a student of Dai Nam University

It is now 11pm. Through the window, under the yellow light of the desk lamp, I am finishing the 2nd quarter tax declaration for the company where I work as a part-time accountant. Today, it is exactly 2 years since I received my Bachelor of Accounting degree with an average score of 7.8, Good, from Dai Nam University.

Surely you have thought that “Public University” is the only way to a brighter future, right? Not only my parents, friends and relatives, but also I myself had such thoughts when I just graduated from high school.

But… after 4 years of training and studying at Dai Nam University, that thought no longer appeared in my mind. Instead, I gradually realized that “Public university is not the only path that leads us to a brighter future, but it is just a shortcut, a smoother path to bring us closer to our dreams. What about your future??? It depends on how you are now, whether you have enough courage to achieve the future you want or not.

I studied Accounting at the Faculty of Accounting at Dai Nam University, Bachelor's degree, 2011-2015. Four years of studying at Dai Nam University passed by quickly like a dream, I still remember clearly the day I entered the school. At that time, my classmates and I stood bewildered under the school gate, our hearts filled with joy, happiness and a little bewilderment of a new student. But now it has been 2 years since the day I was awarded my Bachelor's degree. I will never forget that moment, the moment of pride and joy when receiving the results after a period of studying at Dai Nam University and mixed with that was the feeling of loss, a sadness that is difficult to describe in words, the sadness of having to leave my teachers, friends, the school, the stone benches, the rows of royal poincianas stretching along the way to class.

Tell me about myself before being oriented to study Accounting at Dai Nam University. In 2010, after graduating from My Duc A High School, Hanoi, I, like many other friends, started to realize my dream of entering the University gate. After failing the entrance exam to my favorite school, after a year I was determined to take the university entrance exam. But luck still did not come to me, I was one point short of the Banking and Finance Department of the Open University. After that time, I was very sad, not knowing what else to study, I only wanted to study Economics. But fortunately, a classmate of my mother's, after visiting my house, oriented me to study Accounting instead of Banking and Finance or Business Administration. Why Accounting and not the other two majors? Because Accounting has a huge advantage that after graduating, I can still work as an Accountant for a Bank and can still do Administration. While if I study the other two majors, it is difficult to work as an Accountant. And after a period of struggling to think and listen to my own voice, I decided to register for the second choice to study Bachelor of Accounting at Dai Nam University even though I am a boy.

Four years in the lecture hall is not a long time but enough for me to remember many beautiful memories at Dai Nam University. During this time, I lived and studied under the dedicated and enthusiastic guidance of teachers, the care and support of school leaders as well as classmates. With the slogan: "COME TO DAI NAM - STUDY TO CHANGE". Four years of studying here have helped me gain more personal knowledge, determination, confidence and courage... Teachers, especially teachers of the Faculty of Accounting, not only teach us knowledge but also teach us life lessons, about ethics, interpersonal relationships and life skills so that we can survive and live well in this increasingly developing society.

Although the school is newly established and the Accounting Department is still young, with a team of experienced, enthusiastic, thoughtful, loving teachers, loving students and the profession, the teachers have created all conditions for us to have the most solid knowledge. The faculty's teaching staff has built an extremely scientific and reasonable teaching program to meet the extremely difficult recruitment needs of employers. The training program and teaching progress are divided reasonably by teachers according to each subject, focusing on basic subjects such as: FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING, CORPORATE FINANCE, TAX, AUDITING, BUSINESS ANALYSIS, etc.

The facilities, classrooms, and equipment change every day, contributing to our comfort and attachment to the school. Seminars and presentations by leading experts are regularly organized by the Faculty and the school. The porridge cooking sessions to help the homeless, help children at the K hospital, and the school's volunteer activities in the highlands to help disadvantaged children are really impressive to me. More specifically, Dai Nam is the only school that includes Soft Skills in teaching our students. Thanks to that, I have become much more confident, and my ability to present in front of a crowd is also quite good. The English output standard is according to TOIEC. The Faculty of Accounting is the first place to apply training and teaching of Practical Accounting in Hanoi. Teachers let us come into contact with real invoices and documents that businesses often do. Thanks to that, when I applied for a job, I was not surprised because I had already encountered the profession at school. Moreover, after graduation, the school creates many job opportunities for students.

When we were in school, it was like that, but since we left school to work, the teachers and the school have always cared for and closely followed us. There are still discussions to connect the school with our alumni and current students. The school creates all conditions to help us find jobs and have better jobs.

Now sitting here writing about this feeling, after two years working as an Accountant, I realize that I have never regretted studying at Dai Nam University, I am very proud of the school I attended, proud of being welcomed by the wonderful people here, it is like my second family. Therefore, from the bottom of my heart, I would like to send my deepest thanks to the teachers, especially the teachers in the Accounting Faculty, who have made Dai Nam University what it is today!!!
