The Faculty of Political Theory was established in 2007, with the aim of training political theory courses, thereby building worldview, scientific methodology, ideological awareness, political mettle, belief and practical working capacity for students.

Functions and assigned tasks

Function

- Since its establishment, the Faculty of Political Theory has organized and managed the teaching and learning of Political Theory subjects according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the School's plan. In addition, through teaching and scientific research, the Faculty has actively advised the Party Committee and the Board of Directors on the political and ideological awareness of students; proposed solutions for political and ideological education for students, contributing to the training of high-quality human resources with adaptability, patriotism, and civic responsibility for the development of the country.

Mission

- The Faculty is responsible for teaching Political Theory courses (non-specialized), including 05 courses: Marxist-Leninist Philosophy; Marxist-Leninist Political Economy, Scientific Socialism; Ho Chi Minh Thought; History of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

- Teaching Philosophy for Graduate School.

- Scientific research

Staff and lecturers

The Faculty of Political Theory currently has a total of 04 staff members, including 03 permanent lecturers and 01 faculty member.

In terms of qualifications, the Faculty has 02 PhDs and 02 Masters.

Outstanding achievements

Every year, the faculty always proactively observes lecturers' lectures, on that basis innovating teaching content and methods to best suit the practical development situation of the School.

For the two subjects Ho Chi Minh Thought and History of the Communist Party of Vietnam, students have the opportunity to visit the Ho Chi Minh Museum and the Museum of History and Revolution. The innovation of teaching methods, linking theory with practice, helps students love political theory subjects.

Research direction

The Faculty of Political Theory develops scientific research in the direction of both theoretical and practical research on basic issues serving teaching work:

- Study classic works, theoretical and practical issues occurring in life on: Philosophy, Political Economy, Scientific Socialism to serve the teaching and learning of the subject Basic principles of Marxism - Leninism.

- Study classic works, theories and practices on Ho Chi Minh's ideology, study Ho Chi Minh's ethics... to learn and follow Ho Chi Minh's moral example.

- Research works, documents of the Party Congress, policies, guidelines, and laws of the State... to teach well the subject History of the Communist Party of Vietnam
