Phung Thi Dam was born on February 12, 1994, her hometown is Bac Ninh. Living with her grandmother, away from her parents since childhood has created a resilient and independent lifestyle. Student life with many worries, studying and working part-time to pay tuition and cover living expenses is not difficult for the valedictorian with an average score of 8.69, Faculty of Business Administration - Dai Nam University.

Her parents went to the South to earn a living, so she had to live with her grandmother since she was young, and in addition, she had to take care of a younger brother. For her, the daily struggle for a living weighed heavily on her shoulders, but she rarely showed fatigue on her face. To do that, it seems that she needs a strong will, direction, and clear goals for the future. She shared: “ For me, student life is not easy at all, but being able to support my family makes me happy. In addition, I joined the school's volunteer team and worked a lot, which probably helped me become stronger and tougher .”

Studying is always highly valued, but for her, clubs and collective activities also need to be focused on. She is a member of the youth volunteer team of Dai Nam University and a member of the SSB Club (Student Start a Business) of the Faculty of Business Administration, where students can learn business and develop their own projects while still in school. Her ideas were implemented while still studying at the Club, and the members successfully ran businesses, bringing in a good income to help maintain the Club. She compared: " The Faculty of Business Administration is like a family, and the SSB Club is the fire of that family ."

Sharing her study secrets, she smiled and said: “ I don’t have much study experience. I mainly focus on studying, mastering knowledge in class, and reviewing what I have learned at home, so when taking exams, it is not too difficult. Besides, I also receive a lot of help from teachers, especially Mr. Minh with unforgettable memories .”

Difficulties always come with worthy rewards. She has won many awards throughout her studies. She won second prize in the "Startup with Dai Nam 2015" contest and was one of the 100 best valedictorians in Hanoi honored at the Temple of Literature.
