Press Release: International Scientific Conference on Fintech, Social Impact, International Experience and Implications for Vietnam

Financial technology (Fintech) has been playing a key role in the era of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, not only promoting the modernization of the financial and banking industry globally but also opening up opportunities to improve the quality of life for people. By applying advanced technology, Fintech helps reduce costs, increase convenience and user experience, thereby expanding financial access and contributing to building a sustainable economy. However, the rapid development of Fintech also comes with challenges that require control policies, especially in data security and ensuring financial safety.

In order to share international experiences, build a solid research and training foundation for the Fintech industry in Vietnam, as well as create opportunities for in-depth discussions on the social impacts of Fintech, Dai Nam University organizes an international scientific conference with the theme: "The development of Fintech and its social impacts - International experiences and implications for Vietnam."

- Location : Dai Nam University, No. 1 Pho Xom, Phu Lam, Ha Dong, Hanoi.

- Participation method: Directly at Dai Nam University or online via MS Teams/Zoom platform

This workshop will focus on discussing:

- The current status of Fintech development and its impacts on improving income, increasing financial awareness and limiting black credit;

- The development of Fintech to enhance access to capital and enhance the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises, micro enterprises, increase transparency and improve the economic environment, protect the natural environment, towards sustainable development;

- Identify the unintended impacts of Fintech growth.

- Develop lessons learned on enhancing social benefits of Fintech development in countries in the Region and around the world and propose solutions and recommendations for Vietnam;

With a hot topic and high applicability, the Workshop is expected to attract the participation of managers from State agencies, experts and scientists at home and abroad. Currently, the Organizing Committee has received 108 articles from domestic and foreign authors, along with dozens of registrations to present research and discussions. The Workshop is expected to create an important premise for Fintech development policies and have a positive impact on Vietnam's socio-economic development.

The conference is not only a learning and exchange opportunity for researchers but also a valuable forum for Fintech students, helping them to grasp new trends and challenges in the industry. Through the event, students will have a practical view of social issues and responsibilities when pursuing Fintech and be inspired by international experiences, creating motivation to develop a career associated with sustainable development.
