Along with other localities across the country, Vinh Phuc is now ready for the first joint exam.

Focus on the best conditions for the exam

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Truong - Deputy Director of Vinh Phuc Department of Education and Training - said: "In response to the innovations of this year's National High School Exam , right from the beginning of the 2014 - 2015 school year, the Department of Education and Training organized a conference to disseminate and thoroughly understand the policies and innovations, helping schools have a correct and serious understanding of the exam;

Orient schools to do a good job of propaganda to all staff, teachers, parents and students, in order to create high consensus, helping schools to complete the school year's tasks well and actively prepare the best conditions for the exam.

At the same time, coordinate with districts, towns and cities to review candidates with difficult circumstances to find funding sources to support them, not to let them drop out of the exam and require schools not to collect any fees outside of regulations.

In addition, the Department has directed specialized departments to actively participate in guiding and helping schools implement activities related to the exam as required by the Ministry of Education and Training.

According to Mr. Nguyen Le Huy - Head of the Department of Examination and Quality Assessment of Education of the Department of Education and Training of Vinh Phuc, following the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training, in March, the Department opened a training course on software for schools to use the national high school exam management software system provided by the Ministry, ensuring proper implementation of procedures and data processing deadlines;

Receive and transfer exam data between schools and the Department, between the Department and the university hosting the exam cluster; make plans to organize the exam council, arrange exam locations, organize printing, delivery of exam papers, organize exam supervision, grading... and make reports according to exam regulations.

Direct schools to establish a Document Committee to advise, receive, input data, and check candidate documents; establish document cross-checking teams to accurately complete candidates' exam registration documents.

Also according to Mr. Nguyen Le Huy, to receive and answer questions and concerns related to the exam from units and students taking the exam, the Department has provided a hotline number and directly the mobile number of the Head of the Department of Testing and Education Quality Assessment;

Send to schools' emails and update on the Department's website at http://vinhphuc.edu.vn the guiding documents summarizing the new and different points between the 2015 and 2014 admission regulations; the forms used in the exam; helping units easily search, download to grasp and implement.

Ready for the innovation exam

Regarding the training and knowledge enhancement to help candidates have the most solid preparation to complete the exams well, Mr. Pham Khuong Duy, Head of Secondary Education Department, Department of Education and Training, shared:

“In addition to implementing well the regulations on examination regulations, the Department has directed schools and educational institutions to properly implement the curriculum, teaching plan, and make review plans right from the beginning of the school year.

Phase 1 organizes review of Math, Literature, and Foreign Languages. Phase 2 expands elective subjects.

Organize exam review suitable for each school, each group of students, paying attention to grouping according to learning ability. Teachers teaching exam subjects base on the Ministry's sample exam questions, knowledge and skill standards of the high school education program to develop appropriate review plans, ensuring the achievement of 4 levels of cognition: Recognition, understanding, application and high application.

After completing the review program, schools organize mock exams for students, with the requirement that the organization of the exam and the creation of exam questions must be consistent with the industry's direction on innovation in teaching and learning in recent years.

Therefore, teachers and students do not have to adjust the content and teaching and learning methods. Students who grasp the standard knowledge and skills to apply knowledge can do well on the exam.

Following the direction and guidance of the Department of Education and Training on innovation in the 2015 National High School Exam , schools with students taking the exam in the province have been focusing on training and organizing review sessions for grade 12 students in compulsory subjects and elective subjects.

Besides, proactively do a good job of informing and answering questions and concerns for students and parents about the innovations in the exam.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Dang, Vice Principal of the Provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, affirmed: "The school's viewpoint is to thoroughly resolve the lack of exam information that affects the thinking of teachers and students.

The Board of Directors has carefully studied the exam regulations and information about the exam in the press and on the Ministry and Department websites. At the same time, it has disseminated and popularized the new points that need to be implemented in the exam to each subject.

Through meetings of the Pedagogical Council and sending documents to each teacher via email; for students, through the Career Guidance Advisory Board, homeroom teachers, and subject teachers, propaganda is carried out during flag-raising ceremonies at the beginning of the week, class activities, and extracurricular activities.

For parents, the school disseminates information through students as well as through parent meetings, or through direct discussions with homeroom teachers or the Exam Advisory Board.

Because all students of the school are boarding students, the school has made full use of the public address system to inform about the National High School Exam . Up to now, the students have stabilized their mentality and have done quite well in their revision.
