Mr. Quang wondered, if his child fails the B block exam, can the result be used to apply to an A block school that his child did not actually take the exam at?
Will the school that organizes the exam issue two first-choice score reports at the same time because your child is taking both exams?
Regarding this issue, the Ministry of Education and Training responded as follows:
The 2015 National High School Exam has two purposes: to recognize high school graduation, and at the same time, universities and colleges use the results of this exam as a basis for university and college admission . The location of the exam will be announced to candidates before they register for the exam.
In addition to taking exams for high school graduation recognition, candidates must take exams for admission to the schools they wish to study at.
After the exam results are available, each candidate will be given 4 exam result certificates with the red seal of the school hosting the exam cluster, including 1 exam result certificate used only for the first admission wish and 3 exam result certificates used for additional admission wishes.
Each Certificate of Examination Results records the results of each subject. If a candidate registers for admission to block A of a university, the school will combine the results of the subjects: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry for admission; similarly, if a candidate wishes to register for admission to block B of a certain school, the school will combine the results of the subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology for admission.
If you have passed your first choice, you will not be considered for admission in the next admission rounds. If you do not pass, you will use the remaining 3 exam result certificates to consider additional admissions.
The admission period for each round is 20 days and ends before October 31 for universities and November 15 for colleges.
