APPLICATION-ORIENTED SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

OF THE INSTITUTE OF POSTGRADUATE TRAINING IN 2019

Pursuant to Decision No. 12503/QD-DN dated February 25, 2019 of the President of Dai Nam University on assigning scientific research topics for the year 2018 - 2019, the Graduate Training Institute has participated in 04 University-level scientific research topics on the following contents:

The registered topics reflect the main issues that need attention of the Institute. Notably, there are 02 topics by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Trong Phuc - Vice Rector in charge of postgraduate training and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Anh Tai - Director of the Institute of Postgraduate Training on developing 02 key training programs of the Institute: Master of Finance - Banking and Master of Economic Management. The research results of the 02 topics will be applied in adjusting the training program framework and improving the training quality for 02 majors in the 2020 - 2021 school year.

In addition, 02 research topics in the field of Economic Law are considered a new development direction of the Institute to serve the implementation of the Project to open a Master's degree training program in Economic Law in 2020. With the desire to increasingly expand the scale and professions of postgraduate training, the Institute always seeks and selects new training majors, in line with the general trend as well as the demand for high-quality human resources both domestically and internationally. And Economic Law is one of the majors in which Dai Nam University has an advantage. With the foundation of training in Economic Law at the university level since 2014, after 6 years of establishment, the school has trained 5 bachelor's degrees in Law with nearly 300 students, of which 117 have graduated and most of the graduates have jobs. These are important premises for opening a master's degree training program in Economic Law of the Institute.

After the implementation period, 04 topics of the Institute were completed on schedule and ensured quality. The topics have been recognized for their research results according to Decision No. 21001/QD-DN dated February 10, 2020 signed by the President of Dai Nam University. All topics were classified as good. In particular, the topic on corruption of the research group led by Dr. Do Gia Thu was evaluated as excellent.

Scientific research is one of the areas that Dai Nam University in general and the Graduate Training Institute in particular have focused on in recent years. In order to achieve the goal of developing Dai Nam into an application-oriented university, the topics of the school's training units all focus on creating products that can be applied immediately to the school and related parties. According to that orientation, in the 2019-2020 school year plan, the Institute has registered 02 topics to solve some practical problems of the school, including:

With 02 topics in the 2019-2020 school year, the Institute hopes that through the research results, it will contribute to the completion of the work of evaluating the school's staff, lecturers and employees and strengthen the connection between the school and businesses in the fields of training, scientific research, consulting, technology transfer and building startup incubators for Dai Nam students while they are still in school. This will help create more motivation for employees to work more effectively, while improving the training quality of Dai Nam University in a sustainable way.
