Signing cooperation agreements with businesses, are students still "riding horses to see flowers" or being "held by the hand and shown how to do things"?
Universities are increasing their training cooperation with businesses, but are students still “riding horses to see flowers” or are they “held hands and guided”? This is an issue of particular concern to society because application-oriented training, taking practice and reality as the central task, is an inevitable training trend today. In particular, whether students are truly “held hands and guided” or not reflects the reputation and responsibility of the training institution; the honesty and usefulness of the signed cooperation documents.
Practical training is one of the modern training trends, attracting learners and highly appreciated by society. The Faculty of PR and Communication Management, Dai Nam University is one of the leading faculties in that trend. Training cooperation activities with businesses are continuously signed to bring a practical, practical environment and find output for students. From this cooperation activity, the Faculty's students are regularly employed, and many students have even been officially employed before receiving their graduation certificates.

Cooperation signing ceremony and job fair between the Faculty of PR and Communication Management with businesses.
Phuc Thinh Media and Events Joint Stock Company is one of the strategic partners of the Faculty of PR and Communication Management, Dai Nam University. Since the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement on job provision between the Faculty of PR and Communication Management and businesses (September 17, 2020), this business has created conditions for hundreds of students in the Faculty to participate in large and small events of the company. The new first and second year students have become important links in the company's human resources system.

Students of the DNU Department of PR and Media Management attended the year-end party of Phuc Thinh Media and Events Joint Stock Company.
To better understand the practical activities of students of the PR and Media Management faculty at Phuc Thinh Media and Events Joint Stock Company, we had a conversation with Mr. Duong Huy Hinh - Director of the Company.
- Mr. Duong Huy Hinh, after the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement, what activities did students of the Faculty of PR and Communication Management of Dai Nam University experience with Phuc Thinh Media and Events Joint Stock Company?

Students of the Faculty of PR and Communication Management experience being event MCs at Phuc Thinh's activities.

After the signing ceremony, Phuc Thinh interviewed students and selected the best candidates to accompany the Company in event activities. Because Phuc Thinh is a company specializing in events and team building, there are many activities that interns can participate in, such as: MC, event setup, event technical running, content writing, logistics, etc.

Students of DNU's PR and Media Management faculty participate in organizing team building.
- So, after working directly with students, what are your comments about students of the PR and Communication Management faculty at Dai Nam University?
Students of the PR and Media Management Department of Dai Nam University are very serious, enthusiastic, and progressive. They behave very skillfully, especially knowing how to apply the knowledge they learned in the university classroom to their jobs. Initially, Phuc Thinh recruited with the same mindset as recruiting students from other schools, mainly in the logistics department, but in fact, right from the first day of the trial, Dai Nam students demonstrated their abilities, so I let them try their hand at positions that required more difficulty and expertise. I didn't think Dai Nam students would respond to the job so quickly.

- Does that mean that Dai Nam Media students are different from students from other schools you have come into contact with?
That’s right, because you have learned the basic knowledge of communication, learned many skills about event organization, hosting, video production, music… so you can catch up with the work quickly and implement your ideas quickly. In particular, I must say you are very quick and smart!

For students, experiencing practical work early and professionally is an extremely important premise for effective learning.
- In your opinion, does working part-time affect students' academic performance?
I affirm that it is not! All of our programs are arranged outside of students' school hours, we never ask students to work instead of going to school. Each student needs to know how to coordinate their time and health to both study and work but still be effective. Working is also studying! In fact, work will teach you knowledge, skills and experiences that no textbook or lecture hall can teach.

PR and Media Management students are excited about their monthly salaries. - What advice do you have for PR and Media Management students?
I only advise you two words “experience”. Experience and continue to experience. Only practical experience can help you turn the theories in the classroom into practice and from practice, you can understand the theories that teachers teach in the classroom. Going to work is also going to school, going to school in an interesting and effective way!

Students of the Faculty of PR and Communication Management have become important links of Phuc Thinh Company.

-Thank you for your frank and sincere sharing. The Faculty of PR and Media Management is very pleased to cooperate with Phuc Thinh Media and Events Joint Stock Company. Hope to have more cooperation in the future.
