With the D+PR Club, students of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications are trained and gain practical experience while still in school.

“I never thought that such a large-scale event would be organized by first and second year students.” That is the comment of journalist Ngo Ba Luc - Deputy Editor-in-Chief in charge of Stage Magazine - Vietnam Stage Artists Association about the D+PR club of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications (QHCC&TT) of Dai Nam University.

D+PR is one of the most effective study clubs at DNU.

D+PR Club and Advisory Board.

The D+PR Club was born in the context of Dai Nam University launching a movement to establish study clubs among students. D+PR means Dai Nam and PR. With the aim of creating a useful playground for students, as well as an opportunity to experience a career, the D+PR Club has attracted an increasing number of students to participate in its activities.

Established on January 14, 2020, the D+PR Club has only been operating for 9 months but has actively participated in the communication activities of the Faculty and the school. Especially in the last 2 months, the Club has successfully organized 2 large-scale events, reported by many famous media units such as Dan Tri newspaper, VTC14, ... D+PR is considered one of the most effective learning clubs at Dai Nam University.

What do students of QHCC&TT experience with the D+PR Club?

Right from the first days of its establishment, with 35 members, D+PR Club was divided into 3 different professional groups: Communications Department / Event Department / Logistics Department.

With the advice of the Advisory Board of teachers in the Faculty of Public Relations and Communication, each student will have their own role in participating in setting up events from large to small of the Faculty. Students are directly proactive in all stages: from contacting guests, closing contracts, creating program scripts, MC scripts to participating in design, reception, logistics, etc. to organize a complete event. At the end of each event, there is a club meeting to evaluate the activities as well as draw experience for the next activity.

Speak Up Dai Nam 2020 contest is the first event directly organized by D+PR Club and was successful beyond expectations.

With each event, club members not only practice many soft skills, such as: Teamwork skills, situation handling skills, planning skills, etc. It is also an opportunity to practice their profession: event organization, fanpage content management, program hosting. These are the core values that the club wants to bring to its members, and these are also values that mere learning activities cannot bring.

Talking about the Speak Up Dai Nam 2020 contest organized by D+PR Club in July 2020, Journalist Ngo Ba Luc was very surprised to know that the program, which reached many universities such as the Academy of Journalism and Communication, Foreign Trade University, University of Construction, Academy of Agriculture... was organized by a group of dozens of students.

“I was very surprised that the Speak Up Dai Nam 2020 contest was organized by students. With such a large-scale program attracting hundreds of contestants and audiences like this, I highly appreciate the students’ efforts and skills,” shared journalist Ngo Ba Luc.

Not only journalist Ngo Ba Luc, but also journalist Hoai Thuong - VTV24 News Center or MC Thai Trang - VTV 24 all had similar comments when asked about the program's organization.

The Speak Up Dai Nam 2020 event must be said to be an activity that created a name for the D+PR Club at Dai Nam University.

Right after the successful Speak Up Dai Nam event, D+PR Club continued to affirm itself with the event "Signing ceremony of cooperation and job fair of the Faculty of Public Relations and Information Technology with Enterprises" held on September 17, 2020.

The success of this event once again affirmed the indispensable role of the D+PR Club in organizing events of the Faculty of Public Administration and Information Technology.

Asked about the organization of this event. Mr. Do Ngoc Son, Director of Sol Do Media and Service Trading Company Limited, one of the three partners participating in the signing, replied: “ I see that students of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communication, Dai Nam University are really dynamic. Organizing students to participate in activities like this is really good, creating great motivation for students, especially students majoring in communication. Honestly, not many big universities can do this.”

Up to now, with only 9 months of operation, 35 members, D+PR Club has been able to organize the activities of the Faculty and is ready to support the major activities of the school. That is one of the very solid provisions for graduates to confidently join large media corporations without being confused. That is also the great goal for the Club to develop and become more successful.
