However, the number of employees in this industry has only increased by an average of 8%. The main reason is that the number of recruiting companies has increased by 69% this year compared to last year and the number of software companies has increased by 124% in just 4 years. According to VietnamWorks' estimates, if the growth rate of human resources continues at 8%, Vietnam will lack about 78,000 IT employees each year and by 2020, it will lack more than 500,000 employees, accounting for more than 78% of the total IT employees needed by the market.
