Tips for motivating yourself when studying online at home

No matter how hard-working or how much you love studying, there will be times when you feel discouraged and lose motivation to study. So, what can you do to stay motivated?
1. Create an inspiring learning space
A neatly arranged and convenient study corner will help stimulate your interest to start studying right away. We will be very frustrated and lose focus if the study table is messy or when we cannot find the necessary items. However, we do not need to decorate a study corner too grandly or luxuriously. Just a clean and tidy study corner will create a comfortable feeling and make you want to sit at the study table.
2. Define clear goals
To achieve the desired results, your goals must be clear, and should be in small, specific stages. Therefore, making a list of specific goals is an effective way to maintain your motivation. Write down your goals and stick them on your desk to motivate yourself to complete your goals!
3. Find the right learning method for yourself
Learning motivation is different for each person. According to Neil Fleming and David Baume, there are 4 main learning methods:
Visual – people who learn through pictures
Auditory – people who learn by listening
Reading/Writing – people who learn by reading and writing
Kinesthetic – people who learn through movement
We hear a lot of sharing from seniors, valedictorians or other sources. However, the way of learning with one person may not be suitable for you as the way of learning of another person. Try all the methods and choose the most suitable way to learn to acquire all the knowledge. Just go in the right way, learn the right method, you will absorb faster and deeper.
4. Studying with a friend brings positive energy
There is a saying "Learning from a teacher is not as good as learning from friends"! Find yourself suitable study friends who radiate positive energy in learning, that will be the support for everyone to recognize and strive for their own goals.
5. Limit things that affect learning
It is easy to lose your concentration due to factors such as surfing Facebook, watching videos on YouTube, chatting with friends or being invited to go out. These factors are difficult to eliminate at will, so you have to find a way to limit this situation as much as possible and prioritize studying.
A fairly effective way to apply this is to create a schedule for yourself, during which time you prioritize studying and remove distracting factors from your mind.
6. Balance study time and rest time
Trying to cram knowledge and stress for a long time without any relaxation will make our brain tired and easily bored. Give yourself a break every 45 minutes to study as effectively as possible.
When you take a break, don't think about studying. Instead, do what you love. You can sleep, watch a favorite episode, listen to good music or go shopping. Even buying yourself some delicious food is an effective way to regain energy and motivation to study.
