To effectively exploit geographical knowledge from the Vietnam Geography Atlas, it is necessary to pay attention to using information on each page according to the following process:

- Reproducing existing knowledge that needs to be exploited in relation to the Atlas. In essence, the Atlas can be considered a Vietnamese Geography textbook presented through visual channels (mainly maps). Therefore, questions exploiting the Atlas are closely linked to knowledge in the Geography textbook.

- Find pages that match your question requirements.

- Answer the questions as required (combining existing knowledge in the textbook and Atlas).

+ For the first page of the Vietnam Geography Atlas, students need to understand the meaning, structure, and characteristics of the Atlas; and have a firm grasp of common symbols.

+ For map pages in the Vietnam Geography Atlas: Students must identify geographical locations, territorial boundaries, economic regions; state characteristics of geographical objects (land, climate, water resources, minerals, population, ethnicity; present the distribution of geographical objects, such as minerals, land, terrain, population, industrial centers, transportation networks, urban areas, etc.), between natural and economic factors, population and economy, economy and economy, nature, population and economy, etc.; evaluate development resources for industries and economic regions; present the potential and current development status of an industry or territory; analyze the relationship between industries and economic territories; compare economic regions; present a summary of the characteristics of a territory.

In many cases, students have to overlap multiple pages of Atlas maps to present a specific geographical territory. For example, the question is based on the geographical Atlas to write a short report assessing the natural conditions for the economic development of a region or a province. To do this question, students have to use pages of administrative maps, physical features, geology and minerals, climate, soil, flora and fauna, natural geographical regions, etc.

Normally, when analyzing or evaluating a geographical object, students need to reproduce their existing knowledge of natural geography, economics and society in reading Atlas pages. In addition, students also need to pay attention to analyzing cross-sections, charts, data, etc. These are considered supplementary components to clarify or supplement content that the maps in the Atlas cannot clearly present.

Above are the discussions about the requirements and processes of exploiting knowledge of Vietnam Geography Atlas to help students achieve higher efficiency in the learning process and get high results in exams, especially the National High School Exam.
