Today, candidates begin registering for university entrance exams in 2016.

Today, August 1, according to regulations, universities begin accepting applications for admission. Candidates should pay close attention to the application process and new points in the admission process to avoid "unfair failure".

Time to receive registration:

Registration for the first round of admission : From 8:00 a.m. on August 1, 2016 to 5:00 p.m. on August 12, 2016. After being admitted, candidates must submit the original copy of the Certificate of Examination Results to the school to confirm admission before 5:00 p.m. on August 19, 2016 (based on the postmark if submitted by express delivery);

Additional registration period 1 : From 8:00 a.m. August 21, 2016 to 5:00 p.m. August 31, 2016;

Additional registration period 2: From 8:00 a.m. September 11, 2016 to 5:00 p.m. September 21, 2016.

Online registration will end 1 day before the deadline specified above.

There are 3 ways to register for admission:

- Method 1. Register online

• Step 1: Candidates log in to the exam management system of the Ministry of Education and Training at: https://thisinh.thithptquocgia.edu.vn/

• Step 2: After logging in, candidates fill in all information in the registration form to register online.

- Method 2. Send the application form and pay the application fee by express mail.

For the GX admission group: Candidates download the GX school group registration form at tsgx.vn or diem.tlu.edu.vn; Fill in all information, send this form and registration fee to the address of the first choice school via post (by express delivery, priority delivery);

- Method 3. Submit directly to the School

For GX admission group: Download the GX school group registration form at tsgx.vn or diem.tlu.edu.vn; Fill in all information and the registration form and submit it directly to the school or another school in the GX group.

How to register for admission online:

The mandatory conditions for candidates to register for online admission are that candidates must have a mobile phone number in the exam registration form, candidates must have registered for admission in the exam registration form, candidates must have graduated from high school and the university or college has entered data on majors and subject groups.

There are 4 steps to complete the online application: Step 1, select the school; Step 2, select the major; Step 3, enter the confirmation code; Step 4, finish. For each step, the Ministry provides specific instructions on how to do it and in case some problems may occur with each step, the instructions also indicate ways for TS to overcome them.

For example, if the candidate does not have a mobile phone number or has an incorrect mobile phone number, he/she needs to submit a request and go directly to the application reception point to supplement/adjust. Or if the universities and colleges have not entered the data of the major and subject groups, the candidate will not register for online admission to that school but will submit the application form by post or at the school.

The Ministry’s brief guide also updates the toll-free hotline number to support candidates in registering for online admission. Candidates can call 18008000 – extension 1, to support candidates in using the online registration function; extension 2, to support candidates with the confirmation code.

Candidates are not allowed to change their admission wishes.

Candidates should note that they must submit the original Certificate of Exam Results to the school to confirm their admission to the school they have been admitted to. Failure to submit the Certificate of Exam Results means that they do not wish to study at the school they have been admitted to.

In the first round of admission, candidates can only register for a maximum of 2 schools, each school with no more than 2 majors; candidates cannot change their wishes to enter the school or major they registered for during the admission round.

Register for additional admission rounds: Candidates can register for a maximum of 3 schools, each school with no more than 2 majors; candidates cannot change their registered school or major wishes in each admission round.

Candidates applying for admission to schools that apply by group of schools can apply to many schools in the group. The maximum number of majors registered in each admission round is implemented according to regulations.

Candidates are responsible for the authenticity of the information in the Registration Form and the Exam Registration Form. Schools have the right to refuse to accept or expel candidates if they do not meet the Admission Requirements when comparing the information in the Registration Form and the exam registration data with the original documents.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, this year there are more than 100 universities recruiting based on high school transcripts, equivalent to about 102,000 candidates. Thus, about 320,000 candidates will be recruited based on the 2016 national high school exam scores to enter university.
