On the morning of November 26, two students Bui Thi Quynh Nhu and Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang of the Faculty of Tourism, Dai Nam University, took a flight to Tokyo - Japan to do a 6-month free internship with a salary under the internship program signed with Oshu Akiu Onsen Rantei Joint Stock Company/Rantei Hotel - Japan.

Teachers of the Faculty of Tourism send students off to Japan for internship.

In addition to training in professional knowledge, skills and attitudes, the Faculty of Tourism of Dai Nam University pays special attention to career orientation and foreign language training for students. Accordingly, 100% of students of the Faculty of Tourism receive career orientation from the first day of school. In particular, students can choose to study a second foreign language according to their strengths, passions and development goals. Specifically, in addition to the compulsory foreign language of English, students of the Faculty of Tourism can choose to study one of three more foreign languages: Chinese, Japanese and Korean. During the study process, if students are qualified, they will be sent to do free internships and experiences with salaries in countries that have training links with the school.

Being oriented about a career from the beginning and learning a second foreign language according to their strengths, passions and work goals helps students understand the profession they are studying, thereby having a specific and effective learning path and goals right from the start. In particular, knowing and being good at many foreign languages also helps students have the opportunity to intern and experience in developed countries, confidently looking for job opportunities with high and stable income after graduation…” Dr. Hoang Tran Dong - Head of the Faculty of Tourism shared.

Dr. Hoang Tran Dong added that with the aim of improving the quality of training; helping students have the opportunity to study, intern, and experience in developed countries; confidently seeking job opportunities with high and stable income after graduation, the Faculty of Tourism focuses on developing international training cooperation.

After many efforts and struggles to improve their attitude, skills, expertise and foreign languages, two students Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang and Bui Thi Quynh Nhu have excellently met all the requirements from the partners to go to Japan for an internship under the internship program that Dai Nam University signed with Oshu Akiu Onsen Rantei Joint Stock Company/Rantei Hotel - Japan.

During the internship in Japan, in addition to receiving allowances according to the trainee regime, students will be further trained in professional skills, especially foreign language skills and certification from Japanese enterprises to have the opportunity to go to Japan after graduation.

Student Bui Thi Quynh Nhu excitedly shared: “ This internship is a great opportunity for us to gain professional experience as well as improve our foreign language skills. We believe that we can complete our work as well as the Japanese.”

Of course, to be accepted by Japanese businesses, students also have to go through a process of tireless training with the high spirit of tourism students.

Recalling these months of hard study, student Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang confided: “The requirements of Japanese enterprises are quite strict. They require neatness from attitude, style, appearance to etiquette. Of course, they assume that we must know foreign languages and professional skills. Therefore, during the training process, the pressure we faced was not small. We also felt very lucky to pass the selection round of the Japanese partner.”

On November 26, students Bui Thi Quynh Nhu and Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang officially began their internship and experience in Japan.

Dr. Hoang Tran Dong shared: “The Faculty of Tourism, Dai Nam University has regularly updated and innovated the training program towards approaching the capacity and occupational standards of ASEAN and the European Union. Therefore, we believe that if students meet the foreign language requirements, students of the Faculty of Tourism are fully capable of meeting the requirements of jobs in many countries around the world. The approval of the partner enterprise in Japan has once again proven that. However, this is just the beginning, the results of the next 6 months will be a testament to the efforts of the students in studying and the training of the school".

With the motto of training in the direction of approaching learners' capacity, focusing on learners, always updating the training program in a modern direction, the Faculty of Tourism, Dai Nam University has been increasingly affirming its right direction in the field of training high-quality tourism human resources.
