The cake of love - 8 years of Dai Nam teachers and students persistently bringing Tet to the poor

Teachers and students of Dai Nam University eagerly wrapped green banh chung cakes to give to the less fortunate in society.

With the aim of helping students promote the spirit of mutual love and support, and live responsibly for themselves, their families and society, Dai Nam University continuously organizes volunteer programs for the community. One of the most meaningful programs is the Love Cake Program.

Every year, when Tet comes, teachers and students of Dai Nam University are bustling with the activity of "Tam banh nghia tinh" (meaningful cakes), wrapping thousands of green banh chung (square glutinous rice cakes) to "bring Tet" to the less fortunate people in society.

After 8 consecutive years of implementation, the Love Cake Program has mobilized thousands of cadres, lecturers and students to participate, raising more than 1 billion VND, personally wrapping thousands of Chung cakes, bringing Tet to tens of thousands of less fortunate people, leaving good impressions in the community.

Signing of the establishment of the International Faculty - Japanese Studies major

Dr. Le Dac Son and Mr. Hashino Nobuo signed a strategic cooperation agreement to establish the International Faculty - Japanese Studies at Dai Nam University.

With a strategic vision of the development trend as well as the open job opportunities of the Japanese Studies industry in the future, on the morning of February 25, 2019, Dai Nam University signed the "Strategic Agreement to establish the International Faculty - Japanese Studies" with the Japanese Language Association for Non-Chinese Language Countries (JLAN).

Representatives of Dai Nam University and JLAN Association took a souvenir photo at the Signing Ceremony.

Accordingly, the International Faculty - Japanese Studies Department of Dai Nam University will officially enroll its first faculty in the upcoming 2020-2021 school year.

Opening of 5-star practice hotel in Da Nang, 4-star in Bac Ninh

Training students to practice directly in the business environment from the first year and continuously throughout the learning process is an inevitable trend of the university education model in the world. In Vietnam, Dai Nam University is considered a pioneer in direct training in businesses.

Following the success of the 3-star Lotus Legend practice hotel, on February 28, 2019, Dai Nam University officially took over, managed and operated the 5-star Rosamia hotel at 282 Vo Nguyen Giap - Ngu Hanh Son - Da Nang City; on July 8, 2019, Dai Nam University continued to take over and operate the 4-star Hung Long practice hotel in Tu Son - Bac Ninh.

Up to now, Dai Nam University has had 3 practice hotels to both do tourism and serve as practice facilities for students; best meeting the increasing demand for study and practice of students and the increase in the number of students of the Faculty of Tourism and Travel Management . Accordingly, students are able to practice their profession and perfect their professional skills at 3-star, 4-star and 5-star hotels that meet international standards right from the first year and the total time students spend is up to 50% of their study time.

Traditional Camp – Youth with Green Living

In addition to professional activities, Dai Nam is a leading university in movement activities. The school's movement activities not only connect and gather a large number of students to participate; create an intellectual and useful playground; bring practical and valuable experiences but also have a profound influence in the social community.

In order to educate awareness, raise responsibility for environmental protection among staff, lecturers and students; deeply spread the message of joining hands to fight global climate change in the community; respond to Youth Month, celebrate the 88th anniversary of the founding of the Union on March 26, on March 21, 2019, Dai Nam University successfully organized the Traditional Camping Festival program with the theme "Youth with Green Living" with many meaningful activities such as: Camping competition with the theme of environment; Green Saturday with activities of collecting waste, cleaning the environment in Van Quan Lake, Than Tho Lake (Van Quan - Ha Dong - Hanoi), West Lake, Hoan Kiem Lake...; tug of war competition; Green Dance group dance competition conveying the message of environmental protection...

Signing of cooperation agreement on Korean language training

With the policy of promoting international training cooperation and focusing on developing high-quality human resources, Dai Nam University is constantly researching and expanding promising majors and study programs that are suitable for market needs. Within that strategic vision, in June 2019, Dai Nam University signed a cooperation agreement on Korean language training with Delta E&C Group and announced the establishment of the Korean Language Department at Daewoo Hotel Hanoi.

Currently, Dai Nam University has completed the documents and procedures to establish the Korean Language Department. When the Korean Language Department officially comes into operation, it will bring opportunities to study and experience Korean culture for young people.

Defending Graduation Thesis in English

Defending Graduation Thesis in English is a tradition of students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dai Nam University.

In order to help students be able to work in an international environment; practice research skills, and apply professional knowledge to professional activities after graduation, in 2019, Dai Nam University successfully organized the graduation thesis defense ceremony for Pharmacy students of the 8th course. Notably, out of 62 topics defended this year, there were 10 topics defended in English, an increase of 2.5 times compared to 2018.

Dai Nam University students ranked among the Top valedictorians honored by Hanoi City

With a total score of 8.54 and a total training score of 92, student Duong Thi Quyen became the Valedictorian of the Banking and Finance major, majoring in corporate finance, Dai Nam University, and was also in the Top 86 Outstanding Valedictorians and was honored at the Ceremony to Honor Outstanding Valedictorians of Universities and Academies in Hanoi in 2019 (October 28, 2019). This is the 4th year that Dai Nam University has had an outstanding Valedictorian chosen by Hanoi City to be honored.

Previously, student Dang Minh Phuong, Faculty of Finance and Banking with a GPA of 9.0 was chosen by Hanoi City to be honored as the Excellent Valedictorian of 2014; student Cao Thi Thu Oanh, Faculty of Finance and Banking with a GPA of 9.07 was also excellently in the Top of the Excellent Valedictorians honored in 2015; student Phung Thi Dam, Faculty of Business Administration with an average good score of 8.69 was honored as the Excellent Valedictorian of 2016.

In the solemn and bustling atmosphere of the Opening Ceremony and Gala to Welcome New Students of K13 on the evening of September 26, 2019, Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University warmly welcomed more than 1,500 new students of K13 and beat the drum to officially open the new school year 2019-2020.

Thousands of high school students participate in the Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange Festival at Dai Nam University

With the theme of connecting two countries and two cultures, on October 27, 2019, Dai Nam University in collaboration with the Japanese Language Education Association for Non-Chinese Language Countries (JLAN) organized the "9th Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange Festival".

The 9th Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange Festival not only hopes to bring the Japanese language to Dai Nam students but also hopes that students across the country will absorb Japanese culture. It is the persistent, resilient work and solidarity of the Japanese people that has made the whole world admire.

The 9th Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange Festival is one of the longest-running Japanese cultural festivals in Hanoi. The event was attended by representatives of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of the JLAN Association, representatives of Dai Nam University, Japanese guests and nearly 2,000 guests who are officials, lecturers, students from universities, colleges and high schools across the country.

12th Anniversary of the School's Founding and 37th Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20

On the morning of November 20, 2019, Dai Nam University jubilantly held the 12th anniversary celebration (November 14, 2007 - November 14, 2019); welcoming Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20).

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Le Dac Son expressed his gratitude and sincere congratulations to all teachers and nearly 500 staff and lecturers working, teaching and studying at Dai Nam University.

Recognizing the contributions of advanced collectives and individuals in the development of the School, Dr. Luong Cao Dong - Principal on behalf of the Board of Directors and the Board of Management read the award decision. Accordingly, 11 collectives and 30 individuals who excellently completed their tasks; 4 collectives and 47 individuals who successfully completed their tasks in the 2018-2019 school year were honored at the ceremony.

Dai Nam University officially achieved educational quality accreditation according to new standards of the Ministry of Education and Training

With the vision of building a multidisciplinary university, developing in an applied direction, right from the first days of its establishment, Dai Nam University has paid special attention to the quality assessment of educational institutions.

Dai Nam University is the 8th university to achieve educational quality accreditation according to the new standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.

With all efforts and aspirations, on November 20, 2019, Dai Nam University officially received the Certificate of Educational Institution Quality Assessment according to the new standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.

With the result of achieving 97/111 criteria, 23/25 criteria are assessed as strengths, Dai Nam University became the 23rd non-public university out of 60 non-public universities to meet the standards of educational quality assessment and the 8th university to be recognized according to the new set of assessment standards of the Ministry (as of early November 2019).

Building on the achievements of 2019, in the new year 2020, Dai Nam University will continue to pursue its goals to fulfill its mission on the basis of promoting the achievements of the autonomous mechanism, focusing on developing the team, improving the quality and efficiency of all activities, building a learning and working environment imbued with DNU culture.
