On November 22, 2016, the first episode of Warm Porridge season 3 took place with 60 servings of porridge given to homeless people and night workers.
As scheduled, when the first cold winds of the season blow into the North, when workers and homeless people have to endure hunger and cold in the foggy nights, the Warm Porridge program - sharing hot bowls of nutritious porridge by the Volunteer Student Team of Dai Nam University is started again. On November 22, 2016, the first Porridge of Warm Porridge season 3 took place with 60 porridge portions donated to homeless people and night workers.
Warm Porridge is a volunteer activity that takes place regularly every winter by Dai Nam volunteer students. Over two winters, with more than 20 Warm Porridge issues, hundreds of bowls of porridge cooked by the students themselves have been delivered to the homeless and night laborers, somewhat dispelling the cold of winter in the windy nights. Every year, the program receives attention and support from the school, students and parents, and even the owners of meat and rice shops, all enthusiastically helping the Volunteer Student Team to make the Warm Porridge issues.
A pot of nutritious rice porridge with meat equivalent to 60 servings of porridge will be delivered to the homeless by Dai Nam students.

In the first issue of Warm Porridge season 3, the Finance and Accounting Department of Dai Nam University fully supported 60 portions of porridge with a value of 500,000 VND. In addition, the Student Volunteer Team received 1,500,000 VND from Ms. Hoang Thi Thuan - Parent of Hoang Kim Thuy, class QHCC-TT 08 and 500,000 VND from Nguyen Van Khanh, class D0703. In particular, a rice store (name withheld) fully sponsored rice for Warm Porridge issues in season 3 of 2016. The support and help from teachers, friends and kind-hearted people is the greatest joy and motivation to help the Student Volunteer Team successfully complete the Warm Porridge program.
As a student of Course 10, participating in the first episode of Warm Porridge season 3, student Nguyen Kim Anh of the Faculty of Pharmacy emotionally shared: “ I still cannot forget that look, that feeling, when he took the bowl of porridge from my hand, from two strangers, but why does my heart ache so strangely? He is also old, at the age where he should be enjoying being with his children and grandchildren, but he is in a cold, damp place. He only wore a tank top and short shorts, his eyes were red and wet, making me unable to hold back, I felt like I had just done something very great or simply brought happiness to someone, he and I only met for a moment but my emotions were extremely high. “Warm Porridge” gave me the experience, the ability to immerse myself in life, to realize that there are many people in life who have it harder than me, helped me love myself more, helped me know how to give without expecting anything in return, taught me how to love everyone.”

Hot porridge boxes on cold winter nights make human relationships warmer
Warm Porridge is a volunteer activity among many other activities of the Dai Nam University Volunteer Student Team. If you have participated in the Warm Porridge program, cooking porridge with other members from afternoon to 10:00 pm, bringing hot bowls of porridge with the aroma of rice and meat to the hands of workers and homeless people, students will see that their work, although small, is truly meaningful and happy. It will be a lesson about the value of life, an experience for the youth, for students so that they know how to appreciate their family, themselves and everyone around them more.
