Those are the sincere and emotional confessions of new Pharmacist Le Hong Phu - Pharmacy student of the 5th course, Dai Nam University at the 1st Graduation Ceremony for University Pharmacists, 2019 (morning of May 18).

There are difficult times when it seems impossible to move forward.

New Pharmacist Le Hong Phu spoke at the award ceremony on the morning of May 18.

Sharing with us, Phu said that most of the students of the 5th Pharmacy Intermediate Course of Dai Nam University both study and work. Along with studying, researching and accumulating knowledge to complete the study program according to the regulations of the School, students must fulfill their duties and tasks at the agency or unit where they are working and their responsibilities to their families.

“ We are students from all over the country who come to Dai Nam to study. Some of us are from mountainous districts bordering the border, such as Ha Giang, Lai Chau, Son La… Some of us are from the Central provinces with white sand and Lao wind - where economic, cultural and social conditions are still facing many difficulties. There are times when the weather is harsh, storms and floods, landslides cut off traffic; then the poverty and hardship of remote areas keep us from going to school. Sometimes it seems impossible to overcome…” Phu shared.

With the determination to "Study to change", the students have joined hands to overcome all difficulties and hardships to achieve the "sweet fruit" of today.

Lucky when teachers are always there

Each person has a different situation, different learning and working conditions and they have also experienced many ups and downs in life. But with the determination to "Study to change", more than 90% of the Pharmacy Associate Course 5 students graduated on time.

“ We are lucky to have teachers who are always there to encourage and share with us. Their advice and encouragement make the road ahead less difficult for us. Their thoughts, ethics, knowledge and affection will forever be invaluable assets, the baggage that accompanies us throughout our lives as physicians,” Phu said emotionally.

Thank you Dai Nam for being a part of our youth.

After many efforts, more than 90% of the Pharmacy bridging course 5 students were present at today's solemn graduation ceremony to receive the noble university Pharmacy diploma.

“The noble university degree in Pharmacy that we received today is just a milestone of initial success. Our goal is to contribute more to the cause of caring for and protecting people’s health, to the field of expertise we are pursuing, to achieve more meaningful results…” Phu confided.

Talking about his feelings about Dai Nam University, Phu shared: “Dai Nam University is a place that gives wings to ambitions and nurtures dreams about a noble profession – the profession of Vietnamese medicine. We will do our best to prove and affirm to society that: the human resource products that Dai Nam University provides to society are products of good quality – Good in moral character – Good in knowledge and thinking – Good in professional skills, especially humanistic values. Thank you Dai Nam for being a part of our youth…”

We are proud of Dai Nam, but one day Dai Nam will be proud of us.

Also at the graduation ceremony, Le Hong Phu shared his emotional thoughts with his fellow students - friends who have joined hands and united to overcome all difficulties and challenges to reap the sweet fruits of today.

“ From tomorrow, the Pharmacy students of the 5th course will officially become members of the Dai Nam University Alumni Club. From tomorrow, the school's timetable will no longer have our course. The summer days of studying hard at school, or the cold winter days at the end of the year with teachers wrapping meaningful cakes, to give warm love, will only be memories. The familiar and beloved road from Vu Trong Phung to Phu Lam will also be absent of our footsteps every Saturday and Sunday afternoon. However, we will forever be a part of each other, forever a part of Dai Nam University . The road ahead will certainly not be easy. Life does not give us free opportunities to correct mistakes, but I believe that, as long as we always try and maintain ourselves, you and I, we will do it... We are proud of Dai Nam, but one day Dai Nam will be proud of us", Le Hong Phu choked up and said.
