Thuong Binh Commune is 252km from Hanoi, one of the three poorest communes of Bac Quang District, Ha Giang Province, belonging to Commune 135 of the Government. The stopover of the Volunteer Student Team of Dai Nam University is the Thuong Binh Commune Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities. This is the only school in the commune with 500 boarding and semi-boarding students including both Primary and Secondary schools, half of whom are from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Here, the Dai Nam Volunteer Student Team donated 100 new coats to 100 poor students with good academic performance; 100 pairs of boots for boarding students to go to school and 50 rice trays for the school kitchen; gave 10 gifts including: 10kg of rice, a bottle of fish sauce, cooking oil, MSG and a box of instant noodles and clothes to 10 most disadvantaged households in the commune.
Student volunteer team organizes games and interacts with students
These gifts are really not enough for the students and local people here, but the teachers and students of Dai Nam School hope that the shirts and boots will help them feel warmer and help them withstand the cold, which can sometimes drop to 1 degree Celsius. After giving gifts to the students, the Volunteer Team organized games and interacted with them. The games, mixed with English lessons by Ms. Nguyen Huyen Trang and Mr. Grinil Khanna of DNU Foreign Language Center, made the students very excited and interested.
The next day (January 24), the team members set out to build nearly 100m of road for the villagers.
The program received attention from the leaders of Thuong Binh Commune.

It is true that one must go, must come and experience to fully understand the hardships and difficulties of the local people, to feel the cold here. Teachers and students of Dai Nam University will always organize such charitable activities, bringing to the remote, cold mountainous areas a warm and loving winter, and there will be "Warm Winter of Love" season 3, season 4... to the difficult mountainous provinces.
