100% of Tourism students receive career orientation from the first day of school.

Understanding the actual needs of businesses and society, the Faculty of Tourism, Dai Nam University not only focuses on training professional knowledge, skills and attitudes, but also pays special attention to career orientation and foreign language training for students. 100% of students receive career orientation from the first day of school, helping students understand correctly about the profession they are studying, thereby having a specific and effective learning roadmap and goals.
Choosing the wrong major and its consequences
According to a survey by the Vietnam Center for Human Resource Demand Forecasting, the rate of students choosing the wrong major is about 60%, only 5% of students have knowledge about the major they have chosen, 20% have relatively complete knowledge, especially 75% of students lack knowledge about the major and profession they have chosen.
Choosing a major and a school is always a "brain-weighing" problem for candidates and parents.
Survey results of first-year students at a number of universities also show that up to 65.4% of students do not fully understand the purpose and meaning of their chosen major; 50.8% of students do not know what jobs they will do after graduation and where they will be recruited; 75.6% of students said they were not satisfied with their choice.
This ambiguity and lack of understanding leads to the consequence that 200,000 university and college graduates cannot find jobs; 60% of graduates have to work in fields other than their strengths and abilities...
According to education experts, if the decision to choose a major or school is wrong, students will have to "pay" a very high price, not only in terms of time and money, but also in terms of opportunities for self-development in the future.
Choose the major you love and are passionate about to get the best learning results and opportunities for personal development.
Dr. Pham Manh Ha - career psychology expert, Vietnam Youth Academy, said: If you have a broken heart, young people may be tormented for a few years, but if you stick with a job you don't like for a long time, you will get bored, neglect it, and then choose another career. At that time, making a new choice will also be very difficult.
“Employers will not invite someone who is 35 years old and has no experience. People only create outstanding success when they are passionate and do that work for the rest of their lives. If you choose the wrong career according to your parents' wishes, leave it to chance, do not care about your passion, ability, job requirements..., you may have to pay the price not only in the present but in the next 15 years, even your whole life..." Dr. Pham Manh Ha shared.
