Choosing the wrong major and its consequences

According to a survey by the Vietnam Center for Human Resource Demand Forecasting, the rate of students choosing the wrong major is about 60%, only 5% of students have knowledge about the major they have chosen, 20% have relatively complete knowledge, especially 75% of students lack knowledge about the major and profession they have chosen.

Choosing a major and a school is always a "brain-weighing" problem for candidates and parents.

Survey results of first-year students at a number of universities also show that up to 65.4% of students do not fully understand the purpose and meaning of their chosen major; 50.8% of students do not know what jobs they will do after graduation and where they will be recruited; 75.6% of students said they were not satisfied with their choice.
