In the summer of 2020, in the blazing sun and extremely hot temperature, K12 students put their arms around each other's shoulders, calling each other with the two sacred words "comrade" through the most beautiful moments of their student life.

Besides training in professional knowledge, soft skills and foreign languages, Dai Nam University especially values training and education in National Defense - Security for students.

In recent years, the school has paid attention to the work of National Defense and Security Education, ensuring quality and safety when cooperating with units such as: National Defense and Security Center of Hanoi National University, National Defense and Security Center 2 - Hanoi Command, Faculty of National Defense Education - Army Officer School 1.

With the desire to create favorable conditions and bring the best learning environment and experience for students, Dai Nam University has determined to implement "autonomy" in teaching National Defense - Security right at the school.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Hanh graduated from the Combined Arms Command and Staff Officer School; has many years of teaching experience at the Department of Tactics - TSQLQ1; Department of National Defense Education - Hanoi National University of Education; 02 times won the title of Emulation Fighter, excellent lecturer at the Ministry level - subject of National Defense - Security.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Dac Hung – Deputy Head of the Department of National Defense and Security, Dai Nam University. Lieutenant Colonel Le Dac Hung graduated from the Combined Arms Command and Staff Officer School, twice won the title of Emulation Fighter and fought in the northern border.

MSc. Nguyen Thi Thuong - lecturer of the Department of National Defense - Security, Dai Nam University is a young lecturer with a lot of energy and enthusiasm.

The National Defense - Security Education Area of Dai Nam University is located on a campus of more than 9 hectares at No. 1 Pho Xom, Ha Dong, Hanoi, affectionately called "Windy Training Ground" by DNU students.

Models of weapons, equipment and military supplies of Dai Nam University meet the training needs of 02 companies (300 students/batch) at the same time.

The 1000m2 technical and tactical model training ground is modern and solidly built.

The spacious National Defense and Security dormitory right at the school ensures accommodation for 300 students/ batch.

Students are not only equipped with knowledge about national defense and security, learn shooting techniques, grenade throwing, how to bandage wounds... but also practice a disciplined lifestyle, tempering the character of a Ho Chi Minh soldier.
