Specifically, you need to prepare well the following tasks:
1. Find an internship
For students who have worked or have many connections, finding an internship is quite easy. But for those who have no experience, finding an internship is as difficult as finding a job, just hoping to get an internship even if it is not suitable.
Active students often find internship companies for themselves by regularly approaching companies during job fairs, through relationships or early searching through information online. Or there are students who take advantage of their acquaintances in their hometown to return home for internships. This way, it will be easier to find an internship, the instructors will be more dedicated and the probability of being retained by the company to work officially is also higher.
2. Contact the internship unit
Once you have found a company that agrees to let you intern, try to contact the relevant person to confirm receipt of your application and ask for their opinion on this internship application.
3. Don't be arrogant
All students have opportunities, what matters is the effort and effort of each person. There should be no superficial attitude, dependence or consider this as a time to rest.
Many students rely on companies as “family” agencies, considering internships as an opportunity to have fun. Coming to the company with an arrogant attitude, and going to the internship with the mindset of “going for the sake of it” makes many employees and instructors unhappy, and as a result, the student does not learn anything about practical experience.
4. To avoid becoming redundant
Many students complain that their internship is too boring, usually “serving tea, pouring water” or being ordered around. This can absolutely happen. And in order not to be redundant, to have access to the job, before going to the internship you should learn more about your major (For example, accounting students should learn how to write Receipts, Payment Vouchers, VAT Invoices, Warehouse Receipts, Warehouse Delivery Vouchers...).
To adapt to the internship plan and the unit you are going to intern at, students need to carefully research issues such as: Internship duration, responsibilities, daily duties, work for the department participating in the internship, relationship with the internship unit, etc.
5. Build a good relationship with your internship.
During the internship, you need to always pay attention and do well the assigned work. If you do not know, feel free to ask and pay attention to the way your seniors work and handle the work. At the same time, you also need to demonstrate a cultural lifestyle through proactive communication and greeting people when you come to the internship unit.
6. Follow all the rules

6. Follow all the rules

Being on time for your internship is one of the basic rules that you must follow. In addition, each of you needs to record your daily activities (to know what you can and cannot do, and the diary will help you write reports later).
You should learn the school's internship report template (required) in advance so that you are not passive when you go for your internship. (When writing a report, you should refer to previous reports to gain experience and should write about the strengths of the place where you do your internship).
In lieu of a conclusion
For the internship to be effective, students need to be well prepared not only in knowledge but also in mentality because the results depend on you. Students who are patient, open and sociable with company employees will soon have data and be guided soon. The main thing is to be diligent, enthusiastic and do well the assigned tasks. You should be conscious of learning and quick, attentive to work, especially honest and sincere.
Many students are hired there right after completing their internship. This is the best way to replace applying for a job. Therefore, you should take advantage of the opportunity, be enthusiastic about the job and focus on learning. You should have a positive spirit and attitude as if you are on probation to become an official employee.
Good luck!
