6 Things Students Need to Prepare for Internship

To assess the ability to apply theory to practice, final year students often have to undergo internships at companies and businesses. Finding an internship is difficult, and doing an effective internship is even more difficult. Thorough preparation for the internship is essential for students.
Student of class KT07.01 – Dai Nam University
Specifically, you need to prepare well the following tasks:
1. Find an internship
For students who have worked or have many connections, finding an internship is quite easy. But for those who have no experience, finding an internship is as difficult as finding a job, just hoping to get an internship even if it is not suitable.
Active students often find internship companies for themselves by regularly approaching companies during job fairs, through relationships or early searching through information online. Or there are students who take advantage of their acquaintances in their hometown to return home for internships. This way, it will be easier to find an internship, the instructors will be more dedicated and the probability of being retained by the company to work officially is also higher.
2. Contact the internship unit
Once you have found a company that agrees to let you intern, try to contact the relevant person to confirm receipt of your application and ask for their opinion on this internship application.
3. Don't be arrogant
All students have opportunities, what matters is the effort and effort of each person. There should be no superficial attitude, dependence or consider this as a time to rest.
Many students rely on companies as “family” agencies, considering internships as an opportunity to have fun. Coming to the company with an arrogant attitude, and going to the internship with the mindset of “going for the sake of it” makes many employees and instructors unhappy, and as a result, the student does not learn anything about practical experience.

To adapt to the internship plan and the unit you are going to intern at, students need to carefully research issues such as: Internship duration, responsibilities, daily duties, work for the department participating in the internship, relationship with the internship unit, etc.
5. Build a good relationship with your internship.
During the internship, you need to always pay attention and do well the assigned work. If you do not know, feel free to ask and pay attention to the way your seniors work and handle the work. At the same time, you also need to demonstrate a cultural lifestyle through proactive communication and greeting people when you come to the internship unit.
