Be mentally prepared when studying Business Administration

Many new students have had headaches and encountered many difficulties when entering a new learning environment. The main reason is: Students have not prepared well mentally before entering a completely different lifestyle from before – the learning environment of Business Administration.
Choosing the right major is important, but it is still a difficult journey for students to adapt when studying in a new environment. In fact, many students are quite good, but when entering university, their performance declines, especially in the first and second years of university. One of the reasons here is that you may not be mentally prepared when entering a new learning environment.
Here are some tips for students on how to prepare mentally when studying Business Administration:
Avoid excessive stress
Don't expect to excel in every aspect of every subject. That can lead to exhaustion. For the Business Administration major, you don't necessarily need to be good at everything. Studying Business Administration, you will have to get familiar with economic terms such as GDP, GNP, inflation, exchange rates, management, administration, leadership... And the subjects also have different characteristics such as Microeconomics, business games, introduction to business administration, management accounting, production management, marketing... You will see that there are many diverse subjects, each student will have strengths in different areas, eventually will find one or two aspects you do better - this is completely normal.
Don't compare yourself with others to feel inferior, always be confident.
Don’t put unnecessary pressure on yourself. Many new students from remote provinces, from the highlands or the countryside often have an inferiority complex. They always assume that they are inferior to their peers. These thoughts make them always accept to give up before starting. This will prevent them from developing their full potential.
So you should put aside your inferiority complex and instead be more open and happy to enter the class because all your peers, who have the same starting point as you, have all finished grade 12 and entered a new learning environment, which is university. Meanwhile, the Business Administration major that you will study always needs dynamic and confident people instead of those who are afraid and will have difficulty integrating into the major.
Identify proactive psychology, learning through practice and experience
The way of studying at university is very different from high school. You need to determine that each student needs to be proactive in finding documents and doing exercises for their subjects. Don't be too surprised when the theoretical content of 1 chapter of 30 pages of documents is only studied in 4 hours, we will need to study and read more by ourselves than before.
And more specifically, in the Business Administration major of Dai Nam University, you will do group exercises with new friends, conduct market research, form business groups, marketing groups for specific products, go to businesses, implement startup projects... This is also a new step forward in your skills. There, you learn how to integrate, join hands, learn how to manage time, know how to be proactive and responsible for work, tasks, activities as well as in your own life.
Be willing to join clubs related to your major
In the university environment, there are clubs, associations, and specialized groups that help students improve their skills a lot. This is an ideal place for you to develop communication skills, presentation skills, teamwork skills, and apply knowledge into practice. The Faculty of Business Administration of Dai Nam University currently has 2 specialized clubs for students to freely participate in: Student Startup Club; DNU Marketing Club. In addition, in business there are always factors of Business Ethics and Social Responsibility, so you can participate in volunteer activities to experience more about each individual's responsibility to the community, helping you gain more experience in your future career.
Be consistent with your choice
Business Administration is a comprehensive major consisting of many courses on “management” and “business”. When studying Business Administration, you will be fully trained in basic knowledge in the economic sector such as finance, accounting, human resources, business strategies, and marketing. Therefore, sometimes you will feel confused, not knowing what to do in the future, not knowing which direction to choose. This is a common mentality of students majoring in Business Administration.
Is it difficult to find a job in Business Administration? With an overview of management and business-related fields, Business Administration students have many career opportunities open to them depending on their interests and strengths, such as:
Specialist, business manager
Specialist, Marketing Manager
Media Management – Public Relations
Human resource management
Learning & Development

Partner Relationship Management
So, be consistent with your choice, study well, gain knowledge and experience. No matter what major you study, if you don't try, you will lose in the recruitment war.
Finally, always remember that we are university students. Equip yourself with the necessary skills and be ready to face new challenges. Calmly solve all problems, and ask for help from friends, teachers, and family if necessary. With the first steps, although still awkward in the classroom, you will have more solid steps in your future career.
