As one of the first students of the Faculty of Law, Dai Nam University to graduate, Thuy Nam was quite surprised to once again become valedictorian. Thuy Nam shared: “I tried very hard throughout the course and devoted a lot of effort to my Graduation Thesis with the desire to get the highest score possible. However, when I heard the Thesis Evaluation Council announce the score, I was very surprised and happy…”
According to Thuy Nam, valedictorian is a title to recognize the efforts and endeavors of students in studying and scientific research. “I personally think that whether or not I am valedictorian, I still need to be humble, eager to learn and constantly improve my knowledge. This is the beginning of a new journey on the path of establishing myself, starting a career and contributing my intelligence to building and developing society…” Thuy Nam modestly said.

Thanks to her own efforts, from an unremarkable starting point, Tran Thuy Nam has achieved achievements that many students admire.
Tran Thuy Nam is the second daughter in a family of three siblings in Dak Lak. Both parents are teachers, and no one in the family is pursuing law. The day Thuy Nam decided to choose the Faculty of Law, Dai Nam University to pursue her dream surprised all family members.
“My entrance score at that time could have gotten me into many top public schools that offer law training. However, I still chose Dai Nam University, because I believed that at this school I would learn many meaningful things and develop in accordance with my human tendencies…”, Thuy Nam said.
Learning law is not about memorization.
To achieve the remarkable achievements today, Tran Thuy Nam has made tireless efforts throughout 4 years of studying. And the secret to studying well is to love the subject you study.
Answering the question: Is studying law difficult, is it hard when you have to memorize and understand so many laws and codes, the valedictorian shared: “This is also a question that many 12th grade students are worried about when they plan to register to study Law. In fact, even lawyers and judges cannot remember all the laws, and Vietnamese law is constantly being amended and supplemented to be suitable, so it is even more difficult to memorize each law. Therefore, what law students learn is not to memorize each law, but here are the principles and how to apply the law. That means learning legal thinking. Legal thinking will be formed and nurtured during the 4-year study process,” this valedictorian explained…”

That female student is possessing many scientific research projects that are enviable compared to her peers.
During her time as a student, Tran Thuy Nam did not work much, she mainly sold goods online to supplement her living expenses. In addition, thanks to her excellent academic results each semester, Thuy Nam won a scholarship to reduce the burden of tuition fees for her family.
