Business Connection – Logistics and Supply Chain Management students learn Purchasing Management with Panasonic experts

Clearly identifying that enterprise-linked training is the key to improving the quality of human resources, Dai Nam University (DNU) has built a training model in which enterprises and schools participate in training students. Instead of just learning theory in the classroom, students at DNU learn directly from experts and access practical operating processes during their studies. This helps students not only master professional knowledge but also possess strategic thinking, practical skills and practical work experience, creating a competitive advantage right from graduation.
In order to implement that policy, the Faculty of Logistics and International Business has been promoting learning activities connecting with businesses, bringing practice into each subject. Recently, K17 students majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) had the opportunity to participate in a special lesson in the Purchasing Management course with a senior expert from Panasonic System Networks Vietnam.
Learn with experts – Understand practice
The session was attended by Mr. Nguyen Van Chuc - Assistant General Manager of Panasonic System Networks Vietnam Co., Ltd., who has over 23 years of experience in the field of manufacturing and global supply chain. From the perspective of Japanese enterprises, he provided in-depth analysis and updated trends in modern procurement management.
During the course, students are exposed to core issues of purchasing management:
- Cost optimization strategy & effective contract negotiation: Analyze supplier selection criteria, negotiation methods that bring advantages to businesses.
- Supply chain risk management: Identify and respond to fluctuations in raw material prices, political crises and changes in market demand.
- Sustainable procurement strategy: Ensuring stable supply, maintaining value chain and developing long-term cooperation.
Strengthening combat skills – The advantage of Dai Nam University students
Not only stopping at theory, the lesson is also highly practical with situational exercises close to real business situations, such as:
- Simulate contract negotiations with suppliers: Helps students practice negotiation skills and resolve conflicts in commercial transactions.
- Analyze and handle legal risks in purchasing: Provide knowledge about contract terms, legal responsibilities and business rights.
- Supplier cooperation strategy: Learn how to build sustainable relationships, optimize costs and increase competitive advantage.
Through the training model linked to businesses, Dai Nam students not only access practical knowledge but also develop strategic thinking, problem-solving skills and acumen in real business environments. This is the difference that helps DNU students become bright candidates in the eyes of employers right after graduation.
