Business Internship: DNU Korean Language students enjoy income up to 10 million VND/month

Recently, K14 students majoring in Korean Language at Dai Nam University officially completed a memorable internship at LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong Co., Ltd. After this experience, students not only “gained” a lot of knowledge and skills but also “benefited” financially with an internship salary of up to 10 million VND/month.
“I especially appreciate the working attitude and self-discipline of Dai Nam University students…”
That is the comment of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu - Head of Recruitment Department of LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong Co., Ltd. when receiving students of K14 majoring in Korean Language from Dai Nam University for internship.
During the 3-month internship, students will learn about the company and its corporate culture; "practice" as a real interpreter at meetings and work exchanges between Korean and Vietnamese mentors; hone communication skills, situation handling, persuasion, etc.
In addition, students also learn about engineering and manufacturing. Understanding this field will certainly be an advantage for DNU Korean Language students when applying to Vietnamese technology companies as well as Korean businesses.

During the recent Mid-Autumn Festival, each student received cakes and gifts from the company.
At the end of the internship, all K14 students majoring in Korean Language and Culture were highly appreciated by LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong representatives for their professional expertise, working attitude and progressive spirit at work.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu said: “With a good foundation and knowledge, Dai Nam University students quickly catch up with the pace of work and complete assigned tasks well. They are very proactive, have a serious and professional working attitude, a high spirit of progress and are not afraid of overtime. This is something that not all groups of interns have…”

Motivation to study and strive to affirm one's own value
Bui Quynh Thom - a student of class HQ 14.03 shared: “I feel lucky because I have both an internship and an extra income. During my internship, my supervisors and colleagues in the department enthusiastically guided me, treated me as an official employee, and created conditions for me to practice from the office to the production workshop. That not only helped me accumulate professional knowledge in the field of engineering and production, but also improved my communication skills, translation and interpretation skills. I feel more mature in the way I think, work, observe and solve problems. I will try my best to study and practice better so that I can return to LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong with a new position.”
Luong Thi Phuong Ngan - a student of class HQ 14.01 expressed: “The 3-month internship was an extremely valuable opportunity for me. I was able to hone my knowledge and skills while earning a “generous” income. This trip not only helped me gain knowledge and translation skills, recognize my strengths and weaknesses, but also expand my good relationships with my colleagues. Everyone always created conditions for me to learn as much as possible; instructing me on specialized knowledge, pointing out mistakes and teaching me vocabulary and expressions related to the department’s field. In particular, the school and teachers of the Korean Language and Culture Department were always there to help, ask questions and support us from the first days of the internship until the end. I am very grateful and appreciate that.”
Students are happy to practice in a civilized, dynamic and clean environment.
Duong Thuy Linh - class HQ 14.01 shared: “Since the first year, the school and teachers of the Korean Language and Culture Department have always tried to create conditions for us to "Practice while learning". That has helped me quickly get into the rhythm of the job. During the internship, having the experience of interpreting directly for the bosses has helped me improve my foreign language skills and learn from the experience of talented people. Understanding more about the work and working environment of LG will also be a very good premise for my future job application process. The "support" of the school, the encouragement of teachers, and the favorable conditions of the business are truly great motivations for me to strive and affirm my own value..."
With the training motto “Practice – Real combat”, Dai Nam University always promotes business cooperation activities, creating all conditions for students to have the opportunity to do paid internships at large enterprises. Thereby helping students have a clearer orientation about their career; hone their knowledge, skills, attitudes, foreign languages; expand job opportunities domestically and internationally.
