Candidates applying to university mostly have scores above 20.

At Hanoi University of Science and Technology , information from Head of Training Department Nguyen Phong Dien said that the school has opened accounts for more than 2,000 candidates to register.

According to statistics, the candidate with the lowest score was 21 points, the highest score was 29 points. This morning, 2 candidates with 19 points came to submit their applications, but after being advised, they immediately withdrew.

Information from Foreign Trade University said that currently, the two campuses of this school have more than 1,000 applications for admission to their first choice.

Notably, all applicants had scores above 22, with the highest being 29 points. There were also quite a few applicants with 26 to 28 points.

According to the forecast of Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Foreign Trade University, the admission score for the first choice to the school this year will be higher than in 2014.

According to the list announced by the schools, the highest score of the candidate at Hanoi Medical University was 28.5 points. The top scorer at Can Tho University also achieved this level.

According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , today (August 3) is the first day that schools announce the list of candidates' exam scores in order from highest to lowest on the school's website.

Representatives of many universities said that due to the large number of candidates, the list will be announced tonight or tomorrow. According to general assessment, most candidates who submitted their applications in the first days had scores above 20 points.

As of 9:00 a.m. on August 3 at Can Tho University, the candidate with the highest score was Ngo Ba Loc , with 28.25 points, registering for the Political Science major. For the Civic Education major , Huynh Tuan Kiet was the leader with 27.75 points. For the Biotechnology major , Tran Huu Ngung got 26.5 points.

In other majors, the top candidates scored from 22 to 26 points. Meanwhile, the lowest candidate in Plant Protection scored 21.5 points. The lowest scorer in Animal Husbandry scored 19.75 points. The lowest scorer in Political Science scored 24.5 points.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Do Van Xe - Vice Principal of the school - the number of candidates with scores above 20 is quite high. Last year, the standard score to enter the school ranged from 17 to 27.5 points. In 2015, the school reserved about 75% of the admission quota for traditional exam groups and 25% of the quota for new exam subject combinations of the corresponding major.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics said that up to now, it has received 1,864 applications for first-choice admission. Most of these are candidates with scores of 20 or higher.
