Chinese Language Festival 2020: New students have been in school for 2 months, singing, dancing, and acting in Chinese fluently and professionally

On December 19, 2020, the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture, Dai Nam University solemnly organized the 2020 Chinese Language Festival. This is an interesting and useful experiential program to help students exchange, learn, improve knowledge, practice skills and experience.

Attending the festival, on the guest side, there was Mr. Peng Shi Tuan - Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam.
On behalf of Dai Nam University, there were Dr. Luong Cao Dong - Principal of the school, representatives of leaders of units, leaders and all staff, lecturers and students of the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture.
Speaking at the program, Dr. Luong Cao Dong said: "Organizing learning and playing activities like this is a regular activity of all faculties in Dai Nam University. It not only helps students improve their professional knowledge through games but also helps students to exchange and expand relationships, practice soft skills, affirm their own values, thereby confidently finding jobs in their major after graduation..."
Although it was the first year of organization, the 2020 Chinese Language Festival attracted a large number of students from all courses to participate. 100% of the performances were in Chinese, with elaborate investment in content and form. Notably, 2/3 of the performances came from new students of K14. Although they had only been in school for more than 2 months, the new K14 recruits confidently sang, danced, and performed musicals in fluent and professional Chinese.
Mr. Bang The Doan praised and commended the studious spirit of students of the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture.
At the program, Mr. Bang The Doan gave many compliments to the teachers and students of the Chinese Language and Culture Department of DNU: “The students of the Chinese Language and Culture Department of Dai Nam University are very enthusiastic, confident, dynamic, and eager to learn. The performances are carefully and methodically invested. The students have good language skills and a deep understanding of Chinese culture. This is a testament to the quality of the school's training and the dedication of Dai Nam teachers…”
K14 freshmen confidently sing and act in Chinese after a short time studying at school.
Student Bui Thi Thuy - class 13-03, Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture shared: “The 2020 Chinese Language Festival is truly a useful intellectual playground; an opportunity for us students to improve our knowledge, practice self-confidence, dynamism and affirm our own values. I have made many new friends, learned how to coordinate teamwork, confidently stand in front of a crowd, and dare to show my own talents…”
Ms. Pham Thi Hong Trung - Deputy Head of the Department of Chinese Language and Culture shared: “In addition to training and scientific research activities, the Department of Chinese Language and Culture especially focuses on organizing playgrounds for students to experience reality, play while learning, learn while playing. To arouse and continue the passion for Chinese, the Department of Chinese Language and Culture officially launched the Chinese club…”
