On the morning of December 21, Dai Nam University and Shinhan Bank Vietnam signed a memorandum of cooperation to sponsor scholarships. Accordingly, Shinhan Bank will award 5 scholarships/semester to students of the Faculty of Finance - Banking with excellent academic achievements. In addition , 3rd year students of the Faculty who are studying or have completed the Finance - Banking subject, if they wish, will have the opportunity to intern and experience the working environment at Shinhan Bank Vietnam.

Training linked to practice and business needs is the "guiding principle" in the training activities of Dai Nam University. Implementing that training policy, Dai Nam University is always proactive in linking training between the University and businesses, linking training with practice and business requirements. Dai Nam students graduating from school are not only solid in professional knowledge but also equipped with working skills, good ethics, meeting the requirements of employers. From the common goals of the University, all Faculties have made strong changes in training programs; teaching methods and ways for students to approach businesses.

Dr. Luong Cao Dong – Principal of Dai Nam University and Ms. Pham Thi Huong – Director of Shinhan Bank Vietnam signed a memorandum of cooperation to sponsor scholarships for students of the Faculty of Finance and Banking on the morning of December 21.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Luong Cao Dong - President of Dai Nam University especially emphasized the role of training cooperation activities between the University and businesses. “In addition to teaching and scientific research activities, Dai Nam University makes great efforts in connecting and cooperating with businesses. This activity not only helps students have the opportunity to experience the real environment but also is an opportunity for students to catch up with the requirements of employers, thereby having open job opportunities after graduation. Today's signing ceremony is a good signal, opening up many development opportunities for teachers and students of the Faculty of Finance - Banking..." Dr. Luong Cao Dong said.

At the signing ceremony, the representative of Shinhan Bank Vietnam highly appreciated the spirit of students of Dai Nam University when from the Board of Directors to the School's leaders, everyone has a policy, wanting students to have the opportunity to approach businesses, learning while doing.

Ms. Pham Thi Huong - Director of Shinhan Bank Vietnam, Ha Dong branch said: “ The purpose of this cooperation, in addition to encouraging students with good academic performance, also creates conditions for students of the Faculty of Finance - Banking, Dai Nam University to have practical experience when interning at the bank (2 students/month), helping them understand more about the work of the bank. From there, they can equip themselves with the necessary knowledge and skills when graduating…”

Ms. Pham Thi Huong - Director of Shinhan Bank Vietnam, Ha Dong branch highly appreciated the spirit of students of Dai Nam University.

Also at the signing ceremony, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal, Dai Nam University expressed her hope that the scholarship signing ceremony between Shinhan Bank Vietnam and Dai Nam University will be the first step, so that from 5 scholarships/semester; 2 students/month to intern at the bank, there will be more students of the Faculty of Finance - Banking receiving scholarships and interning, working at Shinhan Bank.

Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal of Dai Nam University believes that today's scholarship signing ceremony will open up many development opportunities for both sides.

" Dai Nam University students are well trained in terms of expertise, attitude and skills, especially modesty and receptiveness. We hope that after today's signing ceremony, we will build a good two-way relationship. The bank supports the students in their internships and after the internship period, they can meet the recruitment needs of businesses. The school provides a source of quality students for the bank ," said Ms. Cao Thi Hoa.

In order to expand and improve the quality of training, internship and scientific research for lecturers and students; to help students of the Faculty of Finance - Banking and the Faculty of Accounting confidently apply for jobs and quickly catch up with job requirements after graduation, Dai Nam University has decided to establish the Center for Practice of Finance - Banking and Accounting - Auditing.

The Center for Practice in Finance - Banking and Accounting - Auditing will focus on teaching practice and training skills in appraising loan applications of organizations and individuals; analyzing the financial situation of enterprises; teaching and analyzing securities; training accounting skills in industrial production enterprises, commercial and service enterprises, construction enterprises, administrative units; teaching practice in management accounting in enterprises and financial institutions; researching the application of technology to innovate teaching and learning methods of lecturers and students...

As soon as the Center comes into operation, the Faculty of Finance - Banking and the Faculty of Accounting will run sample practice and internship programs; guide students to graduate in semester 8. For students who have completed semester 6, have no outstanding credits and have good or excellent academic performance, if they wish, they will be able to practice and intern early at the Center.
