17 years – a meaningful journey

On November 14, 2007, the Prime Minister signed a decision allowing Dai Nam University to officially begin operating and enroll its first class.

From the early days with 35 staff, 5 training majors and 230 students, up to now, DNU has grown to become a prestigious school with nearly 19,000 students, 47 training majors, and a team of 1,083 staff, lecturers and employees.

“ The age of 17 is the age of full of youth and aspiration, not only ready to accept challenges but also strong enough to turn challenges into opportunities. Dai Nam University today constantly affirms its position by building a quality educational environment, dedicated, deeply attached to each generation of students ” Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the University Council emphasized at the ceremony.

Dr. Le Dac Son shared the strategic goal that by 2027, DNU will reach a scale of 25,000 students and by 2037 will develop to 45,000 students.

To realize the above aspiration, he affirmed: "We need to overcome challenges, because challenges are opportunities for success. The bigger the challenge, the greater the opportunity for success."

The Teacher – The Guiding Light

In the development journey of Dai Nam University, the teaching staff is the heart and soul of the school.

“Teachers are not only the ones who impart knowledge, but also the flames that light up dreams, guide and inspire students to overcome difficulties. I am proud to be with such dedicated and devoted people,” Dr. Le Dac Son said emotionally.

The educational philosophy "For the dedicated learner" is not only a core value but also a sacred mission, a commitment of each staff and lecturer at Dai Nam University.

Lighting up knowledge - Spreading Dai Nam values

At the ceremony, the image of 1,083 candles lit by the teachers of Dai Nam became a symbol of determination and strong will. This is the light of knowledge, of the journey of building and developing the school in the future.

Dr. Le Dac Son advised: “Leave the troubles of life outside the school gate. Every day at school is a day filled with love and value. Whatever is beneficial to the students, no matter how small, do it wholeheartedly; whatever is harmful, no matter how small, do not do it resolutely. It is love that will help us build a Safe - Loving - Sharing Dai Nam University, where students are always protected and develop comprehensively.”

Condensing emotions through art

The ceremony was made more special with meaningful art performances by DNU staff, lecturers and students. Those moments seemed to ignite a strong sense of pride in each teacher, so that from there, DNU's journey of "growing people" will continue to spread more strongly in the future.
