In order to equip final year students of the Accounting Faculty with knowledge and professional skills before entering the workforce, the Accounting Faculty of Dai Nam University organized a seminar on “Preparations for entering the Accounting profession” on May 24 at Phu Lam Hall, Ha Dong.
Attending the workshop were Dr. Le The Anh - Head of Accounting Department, teachers from various departments, and hundreds of students from the Accounting Department of Dai Nam University.
On the guest side, there was the presence of Ms. Pham Thi Quyen - Deputy Head of the State Inspection and Audit Department with nearly 30 years of practical experience in the fields of Accounting, Auditing, Inspection and Accounting Training.

At the workshop, students were shared by experts about the conditions for entering the Accounting profession in terms of skills, knowledge, attitudes, accounting contents and job opportunities for students after graduation. At the same time, experts also inspired students' passion for pursuing the Accounting profession.
How to have more opportunities to choose accounting jobs after graduation? How to be confident and self-sufficient when answering job interviews? How to be confident and do well in all accounting tasks right after starting a job? How to gain the trust of your boss and colleagues? And how to build a professional and effective working style? These are a series of questions that the speaker answered within the scope of the program.
Ms. Pham Thi Quyen shared: “In addition to knowledge and skills, learning attitude is very important. Nothing is impossible if students know how to try and think, find the most positive direction. Only then will they feel comfortable in their psychology and have the determination to improve their academic performance. And when each student understands the importance of studying, not only subjects for exams but also learning life skills, then they will make progress, pursue success in their career in general and in the Accounting profession in particular.”
Expert Pham Thi Quyen devoted much effort to exchanging knowledge with students.

Many students asked questions and interacted with the speakers during the program.
Many students are concerned about the social prejudice that public or private school degrees affect their job opportunities. With more than 30 years of experience in the field of Accounting, Ms. Quyen affirmed: “Any business needs at least one accountant. Accounting is a promising profession with many career opportunities. Moreover, businesses care about the real ability of the candidate to do the job or not, not based on the degree and the label of a public or private school. Therefore, right during the learning process at school, Accounting students should equip themselves with solid knowledge and practical soft skills to have a career advantage right after graduation.”
The successful conclusion of the workshop contributed to equipping future bachelors of the Accounting Department of Dai Nam University with knowledge and professional skills to improve their skills; at the same time, orienting their thinking and inspiring students to actively study and accumulate knowledge in a short period of time sitting in the classroom, connecting students with the real environment of businesses, so that they have an environment to experience, linking theory with professional practice in the Accounting profession.
