Dai Nam University collaborates with OMDO to bring DNU-ers valuable opportunity of paid-internships in Japan from 6-12 months

By signing a cooperative agreement with the Overseas Manpower Development Organization (OMDO) in Japan, Dai Nam University affirms its commitment to expanding experiential opportunities and providing paid internships in Japan ranging from 6-12 months for students. The University has already established collaborations with nearly 20 Japanese businesses and organizations, providing salary-based internship programs in Japan for 50% of its juniors (cohort 14) majoring in Japanese Language and Culture.
Attending the Signing Ceremony, on the side of Dai Nam University, there was: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Hong - the Rector; the Director of the International Office; the Dean, lecturers and academic staff of the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture.
The representatives from OMDO were Mr. Nakajima Minoru - the Director and Ms. Trieu Thi Hong - the Director of Koishi Vietnam (representative of OMDO in Vietnam).
Speaking at the Signing Ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Hong expressed his pleasure in welcoming OMDO representatives and emphasized the importance of cooperation between educational institutions and businesses as an essential trend in the context of high-quality human resource training.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Hong highly appreciated the effectiveness of the Internship programs implemented in the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture: "These programs offer excellent opportunities for students majoring in Japanese Language and Oriental Studies to gain practical experience, enhance their knowledge, skills, attitudes, and integrate into the working environment of Japanese businesses..."
In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Hong expressed his desire to receive feedback from businesses regarding the quality of students participating in the Internship program in terms of Japanese language proficiency, skills, and attitudes. This feedback would be valuable in upgrading the University's training programs.
Mr. Nakajima Minoru stated that: "With nearly 10 years of experience in supporting and connecting foreign students for various internship programs in Japan, OMDO takes pride in being one of the most prestigious organizations in this field. We have successfully facilitated more than 2.500 students from many countries like: Vietnam, Taiwan, Indonesia, etc. In Vietnam, OMDO is also a reliable partner of many prominent universities that offer Japanese Language training programs, such as: Foreign Trade University, Hanoi University, University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS), etc. Currently, OMDO is actively working to negotiate better benefits for students participating in the internship program, as well as developing mechanisms to enable students to secure formal employment at businesses after graduation."
The Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding marks a significant milestone, highlighting the comprehensive support and mutual cooperation between Dai Nam University and OMDO in the field of training and career development for students majoring in Japanese Language and Oriental Studies, specializing in Japanese Studies.
Following the ceremony, both parties had detailed discussions regarding the plan to engage students from the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture in OMDO's paid-internship programs.
