Dai Nam University completed external quality assessment of 04 regular university training programs

From November 26 to 30, 2022, Dai Nam University was honored to welcome the External Evaluation Team (EED) of the Center for Education Quality Assessment - VNU to conduct an official survey to assess the quality of the regular undergraduate training programs of 04 majors: Business Administration, English Language, Tourism and Travel Services Management, Pharmacy. During more than 04 days of continuous, urgent and responsible work, on the morning of November 30, 2022, Dai Nam University coordinated with the Center for Education Quality Assessment - VNU to organize the closing ceremony of the official survey to assess the quality of the regular undergraduate training programs of 04 majors.

Attending the Closing Ceremony, on behalf of the Center for Education Quality Assessment - VNU, there was Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dinh Van Toan - Deputy Director, Chairman of the Education Quality Assessment Council.

On the side of the Evaluation Delegation, there were Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Duy Cam - Head of the Delegation, Dr. Tran Huu Luong - Secretary, Prof. Dr. Hoang Ba Thinh - Standing member and members of the Evaluation Delegation.

On the side of Dai Nam University, there were Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors, Leaders of functional Departments/Offices, Leaders of 04 self-assessing Faculties (Pharmacy, English Language, Business Administration, Tourism), Leaders of 04 Faculties participating as observers (Faculty of Information Technology, Medicine, Nursing, Accounting), members of the Self-Assessment Council of training programs, staff - lecturers and students of the assessed training programs.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duy Cam - Head of the EIA delegation presented a preliminary report on the official survey results.

After nearly 05 working days, the Evaluation Team carried out activities such as: Researching evidence, exchanging/interviewing with Departments/Offices in charge of training program areas; Interviewing subjects: School leaders, leaders of functional Departments/Offices, Faculty leaders, lecturers, students, alumni, employers, support staff, union staff; Surveying the employment situation of graduates by phone; Visiting facilities, practice rooms, laboratories, libraries, offices of 04 training programs... to verify the information in the School's self-assessment report. From there, the Team made recommendations to help improve and enhance the quality of 04 training programs.

At the Closing Session of the official survey, the Evaluation Team presented the preliminary results of the quality assessment of the four training programs. The expected issues of the report were the strengths that need to be further promoted and the shortcomings that need to be overcome of the School as pointed out by the Evaluation Team.

With the hope that the activities of Dai Nam University will increasingly promote its strengths and gradually eliminate its limitations, the Evaluation Team has also made valuable recommendations, in line with the development orientation of Dai Nam University and in accordance with current regulations.

The Delegation also acknowledged the achievements of the University, the efforts and efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges of teachers and students over the past 15 years so that Dai Nam University can develop as it is today.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Toan acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of Dai Nam University.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Van Toan - Deputy Director of the Center for Education Quality Assessment - VNU, Chairman of the Education Quality Assessment Council congratulated Dai Nam University for completing the official survey to assess the quality of 04 training programs with good quality. Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Van Toan highly appreciated the strengths of the University such as: Spacious, green - clean - beautiful facilities; Good support services for learners; High rate of graduates with jobs in their majors; A team of highly qualified, experienced and enthusiastic lecturers and staff; A system of reputable training-associated enterprises...

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Toan also acknowledged and expressed his gratitude to the leadership, staff, lecturers and students of Dai Nam University for closely coordinating with the Survey Team to serve the EIA during the entire time the Survey Team was officially at the University, ensuring that the assessment and survey activities were accurate, honest, objective, based on evidence and in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Center for Education Quality Assessment - VNU.

Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the School Council affirmed: "Quality assessment is a vital requirement for development".

Speaking at the Closing Session, Dr. Le Dac Son pledged: Dai Nam University will do better so that students can study and experience in the best university environment, and have good jobs and high incomes after graduation.

Representatives of the School, the Evaluation Team and the Center for Educational Quality Assessment - VNU signed the minutes of completion of the official survey.

At the end of the closing session, Dai Nam University and the Center for Education Quality Assessment - VNU and the Delegation of Evaluators signed the Minutes of Completion of the official survey to assess the quality of regular university-level training programs of 04 majors: Business Administration, English Language, Tourism and Travel Services Management, Pharmacy.
