Dai Nam University contributes its voice at APEC 2025 Forum on education and human resource development

From May 11 to 15, 2025, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang - President of Dai Nam University (DNU) joined the delegation of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and leaders of many universities across the country to attend the APEC Cooperation Forum 2025, held on Jeju Island (Korea).

Acting President of the Republic of Korea Lee Joo-ho – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education attended and delivered a speech at the APEC Education Ministers Meeting.

This year's forum brings together policy makers, education leaders and university representatives from the Asia-Pacific region to promote dialogue, collaboration and action for sustainable education in the digital age.

The program includes important conferences:

• The APEC Education Ministers' Meeting with the theme "Bridging educational gaps and promoting sustainable growth in a digital era" was attended and delivered an opening speech by Acting President of the Republic of Korea Lee Joo-ho - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education.
• APEC Human Resources Development Ministerial Meeting with the theme "Sustainable labor markets and jobs for the future".
• APEC University Leaders' Meeting 2025 with the theme "Application of AI in higher education to solve problems of the Asia-Pacific region".
• Global Education Reform Conference with the theme “Educational innovation and global cooperation for a sustainable future”.

During the in-depth discussions, leaders focused on discussing core issues such as: building a sustainable - inclusive - adaptive education, applying artificial intelligence (AI) in education, developing digital skills, narrowing inequality in access to education, and increasing high-quality job opportunities for learners.

Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang emphasized: “In the context of globalization and digital transformation, the responsibility of universities does not stop at imparting knowledge, but also has to guide learners to adapt to a world that is changing every day. Participating in international forums such as APEC is an opportunity for Dai Nam University to learn, contribute and build an open, creative and sustainable educational ecosystem for the common future of the region.”

The presence of Dai Nam University at the Forum not only demonstrates DNU's increasingly active role in participating in building new-age human resource development policies, but also affirms Dai Nam University's position on the international higher education map - a pioneer in innovation, linking training with practice and sustainable career orientation for the young generation.
