Dai Nam University Valedictorian 2019: Nothing is impossible…

That is the sharing of Duong Thi Quyen, Faculty of Finance - Banking, Dai Nam University, the valedictorian chosen by Hanoi City to honor at the "Ceremony to honor outstanding valedictorians graduating from universities and academies in Hanoi in 2019" (October 28). We would like to quote the original sincere and emotional sharing of her about the school and teachers she has been with for 4 years of study.

With a total score of 8.54 and a total training score of 92, student Duong Thi Quyen became the Valedictorian of Banking and Finance, majoring in corporate finance, Dai Nam University, and was also in the Top 86 Outstanding Valedictorians and was honored at the Ceremony to Commend Outstanding Valedictorians graduating from universities and academies in Hanoi in 2019.

“ Perhaps, from childhood to adulthood, everyone has dreams. The dream of flying high, flying far, reaching new heights, urging us to grow up. And university is the “perfect” choice to help everyone get closer to their dreams.

And I dreamed of becoming a nurse wearing a white blouse. Stepping out of the high school gate, I chose a school that nurtured my dream of a white blouse. However, when I finished school, I worked in a different field and gradually realized my strengths in a completely different field. I began to research and reorient my future path . At that time, I chose the Faculty of Finance - Banking , Dai Nam University as the place to start over.

The enthusiasm and dedication of teachers makes each generation of Dai Nam University graduates always silently thank them.

Is it fate or luck? The more I study, the more I love it and it really suits me. I feel certain that I have chosen the right path, and am getting closer to my dream, the dream of becoming a passionate cashier.

The teachers not only impart professional knowledge, skills and practical experiences to students but are also extremely persistent and tenacious "fire-bearers". It is that enthusiasm and dedication that has day by day nurtured and ignited the self-awareness and desire to learn to assert ourselves and change the lives of each of us students.

Turning back the pages of memories of those days, the first days when I first entered school. Perhaps because I was so used to studying far from home, I did not encounter any difficulties. At that time, I still went to work, half a day at work, half a day at school. Although it was hard, being able to study and do what I liked made me feel extremely excited.

Looking back, Dai Nam is a place associated with many events in my life. In 2016, I decided to get married at a very young age. In June 2017, I gave birth to a child right after finishing the last exam of the second semester of my second year. The teachers knew my situation and always encouraged me, creating the best conditions for me to study. Most of my study time was in class. I always tried to listen and absorb the knowledge of the lectures. If I didn't understand anything, I would ask the teacher right away. I proactively saved the teacher's phone number so that when I had questions about my homework, I could ask the teacher for answers.

There were times when I thought I could not continue studying, studying and taking care of my child exhausted me. The nights staying up to look after my child and then rushing to school in the morning. The days carrying my school bag with a breast pump in it. The days when my child had a fever and I still went to school to finish the exam. There were tears and hardships. I know that without the help from the school and the teachers, I would never have made such an effort.

The time I spent at Dai Nam school was extremely meaningful to me. Through the ups and downs of my early life, my teachers and the school accompanied me, guided me, taught me to grow up, and tempered my spirit so that I could achieve the success I have today.

Not only has impressive academic achievements, Duong Thi Quyen is also an excellent Youth Union cadre.

As a class secretary, I and the class TCNH 09-01 have devoted ourselves to studying as well as to union activities. The days of camping together, the pots of banh chung filled with love on cold winter days, the performances that the TCNH 09-01 union together built will remain in my heart forever.

I don’t know what to say other than my sincere thanks to the beloved Dai Nam school. I wish all the teachers good health to firmly steer the boat of knowledge to the future. I would like to send a few words to the students of K10, K11, K12, K13 and the generations to come, please try your best, always have confidence in yourself. Nothing is impossible. Just try your best and you will receive the sweet fruit worthy of what you put in.
