Decoding DNU students: Admitted to 2 big banks right after graduation

As a student of the first course - Faculty of Finance and Banking, Dai Nam University, Ms. Nguyen Thi Duy Thuong is currently Deputy Head of Partner Department, Corporate Customer Division, Vietnam Public Joint Stock Commercial Bank - PVCombank.

Passionate about Banking and Finance since her high school days, Duy Thuong was determined to become a bank employee in the future. Therefore, she decided to choose the Banking and Finance Department, Dai Nam University as the place to make her dream come true.

During 4 years of studying at the Faculty of Finance and Banking, Ms. Duy Thuong has learned knowledge about finance, financial instruments, stocks, bonds, capital mobilization, etc. Among them, we cannot fail to mention specialized knowledge such as: analysis and forecasting related to finance and currency to make decisions in financial management, financial analysis and investment in the capital market, currency market in the globalization process.

During her studies, Ms. Thuong was also provided with a wealth of knowledge about foreign languages, information technology, and social skills necessary for interviews and job applications after graduation. In particular, she was also able to participate in cultural, artistic, sports, volunteer activities for the community, and international student exchanges.

Thanks to the knowledge and practical skills she learned, student Duy Thuong was able to join the talented student course (course 1) of Dai Nam University. Every time she recalls it, Ms. Thuong still feels very happy and considers this a beautiful memory, marking a time of being an active and ambitious student.

Under the roof of Finance and Banking, Ms. Duy Thuong had the opportunity to learn from teachers who were both highly qualified and enthusiastic. In addition, the curriculum also closely followed reality, emphasizing applied training, helping students to better define their future jobs.

“Since my first year of university, I have had the opportunity to meet and learn from the experiences of advisors, experts, and bank officers. This has helped me have a more realistic view of the career I have chosen.

Thanks to that in-depth, practical knowledge, after graduating, I was more confident when applying to Techcombank and ACB. As a result, I was accepted to both major banks at the same time. I feel very happy and grateful to the Faculty of Finance and Banking of DNU for giving me a good foundation, creating a solid stepping stone for me to get closer to my dream," Ms. Thuong shared.

During her 10 years working in the banking industry, Ms. Duy Thuong has held many different positions. Currently, she is known as Deputy Head of Partnership Department, Corporate Customer Division, Vietnam Public Joint Stock Commercial Bank - PVCombank. Previously, she held the position of Head of Business Development and Support Department, Corporate Customer Division, PV Combank.

As a pioneer, Ms. Duy Thuong wants to tell young people who are interested and passionate about the Banking and Finance industry: “Always think positively about every problem and never stop learning. Where your heart is, your success will be there. As long as you try hard and persevere, you will definitely achieve what you desire.”
