"Decoding" students of Pharmacy at Dai Nam University have jobs and stable income while still in school

When conducting external assessment and evaluation of the University Pharmacy major of Dai Nam University, the results showed that almost 100% of Pharmacy students have jobs in their major after graduation. The special point is that 50% of students have part-time jobs in their major and a stable income while still in school through the connection between the school and businesses, internship programs.

The above results are due to the school's training ecosystem that has been persistently implemented over many years. Specifically:

1. Training content is close to the reality of the pharmaceutical industry

Pharmacy is one of the key training majors of Dai Nam University. The training program is closely linked to reality, learning and practicing, and is constantly reviewed and updated; ensuring that students have a solid grasp of knowledge and skills, can start working immediately, and businesses do not have to waste time retraining.

Dai Nam University has provided society with thousands of high-quality university pharmacists, actively contributing to the cause of caring for and protecting people's health.

Accordingly, many students, even though they have not graduated, are still recruited to work at large pharmaceutical companies and pharmacies through connection activities between schools and businesses, internship programs.

Specifically, 150/300 students of the K12 course (2018-2023 school year) have had stable employment contracts while still in school. Some students are also holding management positions at large pharmaceutical companies.

The subjects of Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Production... are powerful weapons in terms of expertise; the soft skills learned in the classroom and in practice greatly support me in the process of reporting, handling situations, solving arising problems, managing employees..."

Minh Luong is the youngest manager at 115 Pharma Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company up to now.

Vu Thi Lan - a student of Pharmacy class 12.06, currently working at Fobic Pharmaceutical Company shared: "The practical training program at the Faculty of Pharmacy has helped me quickly catch up with the job. I have been trusted by my seniors to assign some important tasks of the company. This is an opportunity for a Pharmacy student like me to prove my ability."

With solid professional knowledge, DNU Pharmacy students confidently assert themselves when working at businesses.

2. Best equip students with competitive skills in the job market

As one of the three students working at Y Phuc Pharmaceutical Company, Tran Duc Ha - Pharmacy class 12.01 said: “There is no distinction between pharmacy students from public or private schools when applying for jobs at a company. At my company, professional knowledge, working skills, dynamism, confidence... and a progressive attitude, not afraid of difficulties - hardships are the criteria for selecting employees. We are oriented on this right from the moment we enter the school and continuously throughout the course”.

Agreeing with the above opinion, Ly Minh Luong also expressed: “The competitive opportunities of students of Dai Nam University of Pharmacy and other training institutions are equal. The Central Institute of Drug Testing affirms to create conditions for DNU Pharmacy students to experience and practice.

As a recruiter, Mr. Nguyen Tan Vy - Human Resources Director of FPT Long Chau Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company said: "The core competencies of a pharmacist are more important than where they studied or what degree they graduated with. Dai Nam University signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with FPT Long Chau Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.

3. 100% of Pharmacy students at Dai Nam University receive job support while still in school.

04 ways to become a Pharmacy student at Dai Nam University

In the 2024-2025 school year, Dai Nam University will enroll 700 full-time undergraduate students in Pharmacy according to 3 admission methods.

Specifically:

Method 1: Use the results of 03 subjects from the high school graduation exam results according to the registered combination for admission consideration.

Method 2: Use the transcript results, scores of 3 subjects from the 12th grade high school study results according to the registered combination for admission consideration.

Pharmacy major must have a grade 12 academic record of Excellent or a high school graduation score of 8.0 or higher and a total score of 3 subjects according to the admission combination of ≥ 24 points.
