Department of Public Administration, Dai Nam University: Innovating and upgrading training programs to meet human resource needs in the 4.0 era

The Faculty of Communication (Dai Nam University) has just completed the evaluation of the training program after reviewing the Public Relations major (undergraduate level) with many innovations in both the design structure and content of the courses, aiming to improve the output quality of students as well as meet the human resource needs of the 4.0 technology era.
Dr. Luong Cao Dong - Principal of Dai Nam University emphasized: The training program of the Public Administration major needs to be continuously reviewed and innovated to improve training quality and meet the human resource needs of the 4.0 era.
The program evaluation board includes: Chairwoman – Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Thi Thuy Hang (Senior Lecturer; Former Head of the Department of Public Relations and Advertising – Academy of Journalism and Communication); Reviewer 1 – Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Loi (Senior Lecturer; Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lam Bao Magazine); Reviewer 2 – Dr. Pham Hai Chung (Lecturer of the Institute of Journalism and Communication – University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Vietnam National University, Hanoi); Member – MSc. Vu Thi Tuyet Nhung (Head of Communications Department – Hoa Binh Construction Group Joint Stock Company); and Secretary – MSc. Do Thu Huong (Head of Training Department – Dai Nam University).
On the side of the Faculty of Communication (Dai Nam University), there was the participation of: Dr. Tran Bao Khanh - Head of the Faculty; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen - professional advisor of the faculty, and lecturers in the faculty.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Thi Thuy Hang directly chaired the assessment of the training program of the Public Administration major of Dai Nam University.
At the appraisal session, the Council unanimously approved and evaluated that the program design thinking closely followed the development orientation of Dai Nam University's applied university, the scientific and practical nature of the training program as well as the conditions to ensure training quality (staff, facilities, partner system) of the School's Faculty of Communication.
Accordingly, the newly adjusted training program includes 138 credits. In addition to inheriting the advantages of the old training program, the new training program has included many new subjects such as: graphic design, digital marketing, video and audio production, multimedia production, multimedia editing, etc.
In addition, the Council also gave some comments on the training content in some modules, helping the program to be implemented more effectively in the new school year 2021 - 2022.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen - Professional Advisor (Faculty of Communication - Dai Nam University), representative of the team drafting and reviewing the university training program for the field of public administration, reported on the content and results of the process of updating and upgrading the training program.
Dr. Tran Bao Khanh - Head of the Faculty of Communication, Dai Nam University shared: "The Faculty of Communication in particular, and Dai Nam University in general, always take students as the center, so the improvement and enhancement of the quality of the training program is always focused on by the Faculty and the University. The evaluation of the training program after reviewing the QHCC industry this time not only helps students become more interested in studying but also aims to improve the quality of student output, meeting the human resource needs of modern enterprises".

The training program of the QHCC major is highly applicable, built and constantly updated by leading, prestigious and pioneering professors in QHCC in the largest universities in Vietnam and experienced experts working in prestigious agencies, organizations, enterprises, and media companies such as Vietnam Television, VietinBank Insurance Corporation, Vietnam Maritime Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Hoa Binh Construction Group Corporation, Informatics Association, VTC News... Always focusing on the learner, students of the Public Relations major of the Faculty of Communication, Dai Nam University are guided by lecturers, learning and practicing right in the lecture hall, at the media company under the faculty, or at the practice facilities that are strategic partners of the faculty. Not only that, the school also continuously updates and improves the quality of training and teaching to help students grasp and meet the needs of the modern market. Accordingly, right from the first years of study, many students of the Public Relations major (Faculty of Communications) have had part-time jobs. Some students have taken on key positions in the communications department of agencies and businesses. According to a recent survey by Dai Nam University with alumni of courses 5 and 6, 100% of the Faculty's students have jobs after graduation, most of which are in their major.
