Direct dialogue with businesses: Understand the market, grasp technology trends, and business operations to get a job while still in school

With the motto of “practical training, real combat according to the “orders” of enterprises”, the Faculty of Information Technology (IT) of Dai Nam University constantly expands the network of partner enterprises; creates maximum conditions for students to meet and dialogue directly with enterprises. Thereby helping students understand the market, recruitment requirements of enterprises; grasp early technology trends, operating processes, and development of enterprises, and have jobs while still in school. The talkshow “Skills to increase job opportunities for FIT-DNU students” is one of those connecting activities.
Attending the program, on behalf of Dai Nam University, there were the Board of Directors, staff, lecturers and students of the Faculty of Information Technology.
On the business side, there were: Ms. Ha Thi My Hanh - Director of Viet Tinh Hoa Human Resources Solutions Joint Stock Company; Mr. Phung Tuan Anh - Director of Vietnam Simulation Technology Investment & Development Joint Stock Company (VNSIM); Mr. Phung Van Duc - Director of Evotek Vietnam Technology Joint Stock Company; Mr. Mai Ngoc Doan - Director of VNFITE Company.
Speaking at the program, Dr. Tran Dang Cong - Head of the Faculty of Information Technology said: "Through discussions with company leaders, students can learn about corporate culture, working environment, and their ability to meet the job requirements at their own company. From there, they can prepare themselves with a solid foundation to enter the labor market. Meeting and contacting businesses early also helps expand internship and job opportunities for FIT-DNU students...".

At the talk show, Mr. Phung Van Duc shared about the main technology trends in the business field, smart software technology solutions, connecting communities on the internet, systems in the electronics field, e-government...
“With the mission of providing smart software technology solutions, Evotek Vietnam Technology JSC has relatively high requirements for IT human resources. In addition to having a solid grasp of IT knowledge, programming skills, clear and coherent thinking... we require candidates to be fluent in English,” Mr. Phung Van Duc shared.
Mr. Mai Ngoc Doan enthusiastically answered students' questions about technology in the Fintech field such as Blockchain, cryptocurrency, digital assets (NFT), artificial intelligence (AI), business analysis (BA)...
Accordingly, Mr. Mai Ngoc Doan said: "In addition to expertise and programming skills, we expect our candidates to have soft skills such as teamwork, presentation, problem analysis, situation handling..."

DNU IT students confidently "dialogue" with businesses
At the talkshow, students had the opportunity to interact and ask questions to 04 business representatives about career-related factors such as: The future of the IT industry, IT human resource needs in the next 10 years, modern technology trends, IT engineer recruitment process at businesses, current IT engineer salaries, personal compatibility with the industry, career development roadmap at businesses, etc.
Representatives of 04 enterprises all highly appreciated the confidence, eagerness to learn and progress of IT students in their field of study. Accordingly, representatives of enterprises affirmed that the IT field will develop strongly in the future. This is one of the fields of study that is easiest to find a job, stable with a salary of up to 8 figures right after graduation.
Chu Thanh Thuy – a student of IT class 14.03 said: “The direct dialogue with businesses is very meaningful for third-year students who are about to start their internship like me. Thanks to that, I understand more about the desires and needs of businesses to build for myself a purposeful study and training plan, with a professional working attitude…”
Nguyen Trung Thanh - a student of IT class 16-06 shared: "Decided to study IT but I was still quite vague about this field. Through direct dialogue with businesses, I understood more about the development trends and open job opportunities for IT engineers. This made me feel more confident and motivated to strive."
Enterprises commit to creating conditions for Dai Nam IT students to come for internships and work.
At the program, Mr. Phung Tuan Anh discussed with students about job opportunities in the 3D simulation industry, online training products based on modeling technology, car driving training cabins and many other practical applications based on VR/AR virtual reality technology and the development trend towards the Metaverse virtualization system.
Accordingly, Mr. Tuan Anh said: VNSIM will create all conditions for students of Dai Nam University to practice and intern; at the same time, create opportunities for students to apply for jobs in businesses.
“We commit that FIT-DNU students will be trained thoroughly from the beginning and in actual work when they come to VNSIM for internship and work,” said Mr. Tuan Anh.
