DNU Pharmacy students experience reality: A look at the pharmaceutical market and finding suitable internship and job opportunities

Students not only learn while practicing with modern practical equipment right at school, but also experience the business environment right from the first year; regularly access and experience new products and technologies of famous pharmaceutical brands... The practical experience trip at the 29th Vietnam International Medical and Pharmaceutical Exhibition on May 13, 2022 is a typical example.

Teachers and students of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Dai Nam University experienced the 29th Vietnam International Medical and Pharmaceutical Exhibition at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace on the morning of May 13.

The 29th Vietnam International Medical and Pharmaceutical Exhibition - VIETNAM MEDI - PHARM 2022 takes place from May 10 - 13, 2023 at the Vietnam - Soviet Union Friendship Cultural Palace - Hanoi. This is the earliest international specialized exhibition held in 2022 after a 2-year pause due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

VIETNAM MEDI - PHARM 2022 brings together over 200 booths of more than 150 Vietnamese and international enterprises from countries and territories such as: Australia, Belarus, Taiwan, Korea, USA, Hong Kong, Japan, Pakistan, Czech Republic, China...

Students are eager to learn about new technologies at the Exhibition.

The exhibition introduces advances, achievements, and new products in the fields of pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, hospitals, medical examination and treatment, dentistry, preventive medicine, disease prevention, laboratory biological chemicals, medical environment, support equipment and techniques, innovation in health care technology, aesthetics, medical tourism, etc.

Realizing that this is an opportunity for lecturers and students to experience and update information about the industry, the Faculty of Pharmacy of Dai Nam University proactively contacted the Exhibition Organizing Committee so that students and lecturers could visit and experience 1 day at the Exhibition.

Directly leading students to visit and experience the Exhibition, Mr. Vu Van Tuan - Deputy Head of the Department of Analytical Chemistry - Testing, Faculty of Pharmacy, Dai Nam University shared: "This is an extremely useful practical experience activity for students majoring in Pharmacy. A great opportunity for students to observe actual products in the Pharmaceutical industry; equipment supporting the production, preservation, and quality control of pharmaceuticals. This is also an opportunity for students to approach famous pharmaceutical brands, companies specializing in providing equipment, raw materials and recruiting units... From there, they can get an overview of the Pharmaceutical market as well as find internship and job opportunities suitable for themselves..."

Mr. Vu Van Tuan added that by participating in the exhibition, lecturers of the Faculty of Pharmacy have the opportunity to exchange with specialized units, update and improve practical knowledge, improve the quality of lectures to ensure training quality.

Phan Tuan Hoang - a student of Pharmacy class 11-02, Faculty of Pharmacy said: “With a special field of study like Pharmacy, studying combined with practice, reality and experience is very important. This helps us have the opportunity to approach reality so that we are not surprised, after graduating we can immediately catch up with work. The experience trip at the Exhibition is very practical and useful. Through the experience trip, I learned more about the industry's products, new production technologies, major pharmaceutical brands... This is valuable practical knowledge that is not found in any textbooks or books..."
