DNU teachers' heartfelt sharing with generations of alumni on the occasion of the school's founding anniversary

On the morning of November 17, generations of former students of Dai Nam University (DNU) eagerly returned to their old school to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the school's founding (November 14, 2007 - November 14, 2022) and the 40th Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20. The "reunion" was filled with the love between teachers and students with the "heartfelt" sharing of teachers - fathers, mothers, second brothers and sisters, welcoming their grown-up children and siblings from all over the country back to their "common home".

The program to welcome alumni and students to visit the school on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Dai Nam University is an activity of great significance in connecting generations of alumni with the school. This is an opportunity for generations of alumni to visit their old school, meet teachers and friends and exchange and recall memories of their time at school.

Speaking at the program, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal could not help but be moved when meeting the generations of alumni who grew up from Dai Nam University. Now, all of them have good careers and lives, just like the mission of the School: "Training graduates to have good lives and be good citizens".

Students of the 4th course of the Faculty of Construction congratulate the 15th anniversary of the school's founding and the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20.

Ms. Cao Thi Hoa also said: Over the past 15 years, with the determination and unity of the School Council, the Board of Directors, the staff, lecturers, employees and generations of students, Dai Nam University has overcome countless difficulties and challenges. However, the biggest challenge that the School always "worries" and strives to overcome is: "How to build and develop so that generations of Dai Nam University students are always proud of the school they have studied at".

“The school and teachers know that some first-year students have had to study for a second degree or a Master's degree in order to “wash their degrees”. They are not confident in admitting that they graduated from Dai Nam University, and are not confident in the value of their degrees. That is truly a “pain” and a huge “hurt” for the school and teachers of DNU. And for that reason, Dai Nam has constantly strived, devoting all its heart, mind and strength to building Dai Nam University to become stronger and stronger so that generations of students can always be proud of the place where they study and experience. And every time I think of Dai Nam University, I think of the dreams and ambitions of youth, the beautiful years of youth...”, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa emotionally said.

Ms. Le Thi Thanh Huong - Vice Principal expressed: "Thank you to the former students of the first courses of Dai Nam University for bravely choosing Dai Nam to study and entrust the most beautiful youth of their lives, creating opportunities for Dai Nam to develop as it is today. Your gathering today is also a word of encouragement for the University to strive to develop, affirming the position of Dai Nam University in the Vietnamese education system".

Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong was moved when meeting the first batch of students who were with the School during the most difficult and challenging times.

To express gratitude to teachers and congratulate the 15th Anniversary of Dai Nam University, the alumni of the first course of the Faculty of Finance, Banking and Accounting donated 22 million VND to the University to plant trees.

Mr. Phi Van Minh - representative of alumni of course 1, Faculty of Finance, Banking and Accounting, presented gifts to express gratitude to the School and teachers.

Ms. Cao Thi Hoa presented a thank you letter from Dai Nam University to the alumni.

On behalf of the alumni, Mr. Phi Van Minh - class 1, Faculty of Finance and Banking - Director of Bao An Joint Stock Auction Company shared: “Returning to school on a special occasion, meeting teachers and old friends, we feel extremely emotional. We - the alumni of class 1 are always proud to be the "leading birds" in the development of Dai Nam University. We are grateful to the teachers for their dedication and effort in teaching us so that we not only have solid knowledge and skills but also help us grow up, have maturity and our own path in work..."

Mr. Phi Van Minh said: "Generations of alumni are always ready to return and accompany the School in all activities."

MC Phan Doanh - former student of the 3rd course of the Faculty of Finance and Banking expressed: "15 years have passed, the teachers' hair is now more gray, but the joy of teaching has never faded. That is something that generations of students like us admire and cherish. On this special occasion, I would like to express my gratitude to the teachers for creating me, creating thousands of good citizens of Vietnam in the past years and in the future. I wish Dai Nam University to study to change, change life, change yourself and change the country to become more and more prosperous".

MC Phan Doanh expressed his joy, gratitude and respect to the School Council, Board of Directors and all officers, lecturers and staff of Dai Nam University.

Ms. Vu Kim Hoa - former student of the first course of Accounting Faculty said that she spent half a month to prepare for the big day of Dai Nam University. "I am very touched that the teachers still remember each student of the first course. We are very proud to be a student who grew up under the roof of Dai Nam University. I wish the school to always develop, and wish the teachers good health to lead the students of the next course to the shore of knowledge" , she said.

Ms. Vu Kim Hoa was happy to meet her teachers and friends again after many years away from their common home - Dai Nam University.

Mr. Tran Tuan Phong - former student of class 8, Faculty of Information Technology, was moved: "Dai Nam University is not only a school that has given me knowledge, it is also a home, where I feel the most sincere love from teachers and friends. Dai Nam is where I grew up, so I always wish to have the opportunity to return to school to visit teachers and friends..."

Mr. Tran Tuan Phong always wishes to have the opportunity to return to school to visit his teachers and friends.

Ms. Pham Thuy Trang, a former student of the 5th class of the Faculty of Accounting, also expressed: “Although I do not have the opportunity to enjoy a large, spacious learning space like the students of the next class, I am still happy to see Dai Nam University developing more and more. Meeting teachers and friends again after 7 years apart, I hope this will be a great start for the upcoming off-shows (meetings)”.

No matter what they do or where they are, generations of Dai Nam University students always remember their beloved school. Ms. Ta Thi Linh Chi, a former student of the 5th class of the Faculty of Accounting, shared: “Although we cannot go to Hanoi to attend the Anniversary Ceremony, we still always follow our teachers and Dai Nam University. Thank you for inspiring and giving wings to our dreams. Our youth always has DNU. Forever proud”.
