Key tasks in DNU's development strategy from now to 2030
At the beginning of the training course, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on March 11, 2023, in the large hall, in front of all the staff and lecturers of the school, Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Dai Nam University directly shared about the development strategy and action policies of the school in the new period.
Specifically: The period 2023 - 2030 is a period of fierce competition in Vietnam's higher education. To develop and grow, Dai Nam University needs to restructure all resources to improve the quality of training programs for the new school year (K17) and deepen the school's organizational culture.
“Product quality is understood as the quality of the training program. The focus of organizational culture is the human factor that carries out the organization's mission. Reality shows that no company or business can survive by defeating its competitors, but can only survive and develop by surpassing itself. Dai Nam University must be an organization that knows how to surpass itself, must accelerate, must change, must restructure to develop, accelerate, and seize opportunities...” Dr. Le Dac Son emphasized.
Understanding development strategy and organizational culture is the best way to integrate into the working environment, serve the common development of the School and affirm one's own values...
Accordingly, Dai Nam University has clearly identified the key tasks in its development strategy from now until 2030:
Firstly, starting from the 2023-2024 school year, the whole school will implement 03 semesters/school year training (applied from students of course 17 onwards). The goal of this is to shorten the training time of students but still completely ensure the quality according to output standards. Graduating 0.5 - 1 year early will help students save hundreds of millions of dong in accommodation and living expenses during their university studies, at the same time, they will also participate in the labor market early to earn their own income and have more opportunities to develop themselves. The training program of the Medical major remains the same due to the special training nature of this major.
Second, teaching and learning must be gradually implemented according to the following criteria : Core content of the industry and subjects; reducing exam pressure; maximizing students' experience in businesses; building a team of academic advisors; providing financial support for students when experiencing at businesses; connecting the School with parents in the training, learning and cultivation of students; gradually transforming digitally in teaching and management so that students can study and take exams anytime, anywhere.
Third: The "Student Employment and Entrepreneurship" Center must support 100% of graduates to have jobs immediately.
Fourth: Continue to build and deepen the organizational culture of Dai Nam University, reflected in the "mission - vision - core values" that the school has set; put into statements and documents, becoming the motto and purpose of action of Dai Nam University.
Specifically, the construction and deepening of "Dai Nam University's organizational culture" will focus on:
- Build Dai Nam University to become an ideal workplace for everyone, in compliance with the core values of the University.
- Each employee must always think and act "how to improve the quality of work every day".
- Respect students because students are not only customers but also invaluable assets of the school and the country.
- Evaluate, promote, and appoint the right person for the right job. Degrees, academic titles, and titles are not Dai Nam's top priorities in appointing, promoting, and evaluating staff. Work efficiency is the main measure to evaluate staff, lecturers, and employees at the end of the year.
- Be a real person, be a real person: Managers at all levels must: "Stay close to the task, do not delegate or push the task down to subordinates to complete it, but must guide, check and evaluate the final effectiveness of the assigned task". Each officer and lecturer needs to continuously review the work of the day, week, month... so as not to forget the task.
Dr. Le Dac Son emphasized: “When we together understand the core issues in the School's culture, we are ready to declare to society our 5 responsibilities and are completely confident in successfully achieving the goals set in the new period...”
