To serve the training goal associated with practice, to arouse passion and excitement in learning for first-year students. With the approval of the school's policy, the Faculty of Construction - Architecture organized for students of class XD-KTR 12-01 to visit the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant and the Muong Cultural Space Museum.

Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant - the largest hydropower project in Southeast Asia, is the result of 15 years of hard work and creativity of cadres and workers of Vietnam and the Soviet Union. Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant was started and deployed at the right time when Vietnam had just ended the war, facing numerous difficulties and shortages. On the other hand, the construction conditions were complicated, requiring techniques with extremely high progress pressure, posing great challenges to cadres and workers building the project. By July 2018, Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant was honored as a project bearing "Glory of Vietnam - Imprint of projects", becoming a great source of pride for the extraordinary will and determination, a symbol of Vietnamese workers and engineers.

In order to best meet the needs of students who have the opportunity to visit the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant, serving their studies, the Faculty of Construction - Architecture of Dai Nam University contacted the Plant Management Board in advance. Students were able to "see and hear" the results of the construction of the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant, as well as understand the hardships of the people who created this great project. In addition, with the enthusiastic guidance of the plant manager, the visiting delegation had the opportunity to learn about the generators dozens of meters deep underground, directly see the generators operating to produce electricity - understand the optimization of construction architecture with production operations.
Students were introduced by the factory management board about the scale of the project, the hardships and difficulties of the staff and workers during the 15 years of construction of the "number one hydroelectric plant in Southeast Asia".

A rare opportunity for students to visit the site of the generators – 35m underground.

In the second activity of the field trip, teachers and students of the Faculty of Construction and Architecture offered incense to the statue of Uncle Ho - the architectural highlight of the entire vast space of the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant. From the statue area, one can see the majesty of the Hydropower Plant and the magnificent scenery created by the architectural space here.

During the tour, teachers and students of the Faculty of Construction - Architecture also visited the Hoa Binh Hydropower Museum - a place that records the arduous construction process of the engineers of the past. " Through the tour guide's stories, we understand more about the hardships and great sacrifices of our predecessors to create the great project we have today. We feel more motivated to love our major and, above all, proud to follow in the footsteps of our predecessors and carry out the mission of building the country" - Student Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong (K12 - Architecture) shared.

The next destination, students of the Faculty of Construction and Architecture visited the Muong Cultural Space Museum - a place that preserves the cultural characteristics of the Muong people. Students learned more about the traditional lifestyle and, most importantly, understood the typical stilt house architecture of this place, which is also a valuable source of information to help students create architectural works "with modernity but imbued with national identity".

The special point of the tour was to help students gain more lessons from real projects and more inspiration to try to study, strive to become good Engineers and Architects, contributing and building for the country in the future. That is also the goal that teachers and students of the Faculty of Construction - Architecture of Dai Nam University always aim for.
