The Faculty of Chemical Engineering was established at the time that the government is boosting the development of science and technology in Vietnam. The Faculty is equipped with modern nfrastructure together with competent lecturers who are leading experts in the field.

The Faculty is setting an example in the education system of Vietnam, that is to focus on fundamental science major instead of other saturated majors which cost the over expansion of Students of the department can study in a modern academic environment with standard equipment and enthusiastic guidance of leading experts. During their study, students can join field trips to factories and corporations to improve their knowledge and skills. Competent students will be directly recruited at companies where they do internship.

II. EDUCATIONAL GOALS

The Faculty of Chemical Engineering was established at the time the education system was undergoing reforms and the environment was getting increasingly competitive. Understanding the importance of quality to the school’s image and development, the department has integrated ISO standard into its management system and designed an out-come standard for students. The out-come standards of the department are listed as follows:

Clearly understanding the policies and directions of the government and the party in: Politics,

Education, Environment, Economy, Security and Defense;

Having good citizen ethics;

Having both general and professional knowledge to create a concrete background for further

Having good professional knowledge and skills;

Having self-direction and analyzing skill related to technology field;

Having self-study ability and quick adaptation to the development of science and technology;

Having good communication skill and being able to work independently and as part of a team;

Being able to develop plans, find solutions and execute projects;Being able to use computer and other popular devices as well as software necessary for profession;

Being able to use English proficiently in communication and data mining. After graduation, students will be granted with the following degrees and certificates:

On professional knowledge: students receive confirmation upon completing required courses and field trip. After fulfilling all requirements of the program, students will be granted the graduation On English: Reaching the English proficiency at TOEIC 400;

On information technology: Students receive IT certificate level B;

On physical training and military training: Students are granted certificates based on regulations of Ministry of Education and Training;

On skills: Students receive Professional Skill Certificate granted in the cooperation program between the university and businesses;

On politics and ideology: having good understanding of law and civic virtue.

III. ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

With focus on educational quality, the Faculty consists of lecturers who are Professors and Associate Professors from prestigious universities such as Ha Noi University of Technology and Science. All lecturers are very experienced, knowledgeable, responsible and enthusiastic in the field
