Faculty of Finance and Banking meets new students of course 9

As a faculty established since the early days of the School, along with the development of the School, the Faculty of Finance - Banking (Finance - Banking Faculty) has always affirmed its position and influence of the Finance - Banking industry with 5 batches of students who have graduated and worked at many banks and enterprises in and outside the country. In order for new students to better understand their major, following the learning tradition of their predecessors, on September 16, 2015, the Finance - Banking Faculty organized a meeting and exchange between teachers, alumni and new students of the 9th batch.

At the beginning of the meeting, the new students listened to the welcome speech of Dr. Le Thi Xuan, Head of the Banking Faculty and was introduced to the teachers, staff and lecturers in the Faculty. This was followed by sincere sharing from MSc. Nguyen Viet Anh - Vice Principal and profound memories from Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong - Head of the Faculty's Student Training Department. This intimate meeting was especially attended by former students who are now key banking officers of commercial banks.

Each sharing of the teachers is a teaching, an experience in learning methods and an encouragement, hoping that new students will try, make efforts to study, and contribute to the development of Dai Nam University. Success only comes to those who are wise, have passion and choose the right direction. Therefore, with the training method combining theory with specialized practical topics, along with increasing English and soft skills lessons, new students of the Faculty of Finance and Banking in particular and more than 1,000 new students of Dai Nam in general will confidently reach success.

The meeting was also an opportunity for the new students of the 9th course to have the opportunity to directly interact and ask questions to the teachers in the Faculty as well as the School Board, and to listen to the stories of experiences in life and work of the former students. The stories about the difficulties in applying for a job after graduation, the efforts to affirm one's own value with the prejudices of society about private schools or the joy when success knocked on the door after many difficulties of the previous students are valuable lessons for each new student.

Former student Nguyen Thu Ha (course 2), currently Assistant Director of Customer Management, Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank, shared words that made all teachers and students speechless with emotion. Thu Ha emphasized : “ It doesn’t matter where you come from, which university you graduated from, as long as you strive to practice, study and assert yourself well. Then, you will not lose to any student from a prestigious university in the battle for a seat at any bank or financial institution”.

Pursuing one’s own passion, loving the movements and activities of the School, Faculty, as well as extracurricular activities outside are the secrets that former student Phan Doanh (course 3) shares with his younger siblings. Besides being an editor of VTV5, Vietnam Television, Phan Doanh is also a photo model, a very solid MC of many big programs thanks to the training process at Dai Nam University.

New students participate in fun games and receive gifts from the Faculty.

Phan Ton Nam Son - former student of course 5, currently working at the Faculty of Finance and Accounting advises students: “Be active in scientific research activities. Participate in all movement activities and clubs. These will give you experiences that books cannot provide. If students do not participate in movements, their student life is wasted!”

The Faculty of Finance and Banking is very proud that for many years in a row, the title of “Excellent Valedictorian of universities and academies in Hanoi” belongs to the Faculty’s students. The Faculty of Finance and Banking students are always evaluated as dynamic, studious and have outstanding abilities. These are the evaluations of organizations, banks and businesses that the Faculty’s students have visited during field trips, apprenticeships, internships and training programs organized by the Faculty. However, in addition to the knowledge provided by the Faculty, passion and enthusiasm are the factors that help each student succeed in life.

Ending the meeting with many sharing and emotions, through fun games and songs, the meeting of the Faculty of Finance - Banking with students of course 9 ended and was filled with useful advice from the teachers.
