Faculty of Information Technology enhances training related to business needs and supports students in finding jobs

The new training program of the IT department meets the needs of businesses well.

In the context of the 4.0 revolution that has a profound impact on industries in our country, IT enterprises have undergone strong changes. In order to meet the demands of enterprises and create conditions for students to have jobs right during the training process, especially after graduation, the Faculty of Information Technology of Dai Nam University has many positive changes.

Specifically, the new training program of the Faculty of Information Technology is adjusted as follows:

The subjects are arranged according to the knowledge stream to create the capacity for students to meet the work of IT enterprises after each year of study. Thus, after the first year, students can find a suitable job in the enterprise.

Students are interned in IT at the Faculty and businesses throughout the training process. During IT internship hours, students acquire new technologies to meet the requirements of the 4.0 revolution. Instructors have knowledge and experience in the working environment at businesses. Therefore, it can be said that IT students of the School are trained in their profession throughout their studies.

In addition to regular classes, students are trained in programming skills. The department has programming review programs from basic to advanced knowledge. These programs, called “Programming Literacy Campaign”, have brought about practical results and attracted the participation of many students.

Good students can participate in refresher courses to update their knowledge with lecturers such as Deep learning, Blockchain technology training, etc. This group of students will be the core to carry out practical projects and spread modern knowledge among students of the entire Faculty.

Strengthening training links with businesses, supporting job search for students

In addition to the updated training program, adjusted according to trends to meet current and future needs, the Faculty of Information Technology pays special attention to linking with businesses during the training process:

CV writing and interview skills workshop.

Large IT corporations such as Amazon, Google, Microsoft participate in training and certification. Obtaining this certificate is a favorable condition for the school's students to find jobs after graduation.

Other IT companies such as CMC Company, I3JSC Company (I3 Network Systems), IT Plus Vietnam Co., Ltd., Rikklisoft Joint Stock Company, VTI Company, ... closely cooperate in training with the School. For example, recently on February 26, 2022, VTI Academy Company and the School's IT Faculty organized a workshop on "CV writing and interview skills". The purpose of the workshop is to equip IT students with knowledge and soft skills:

• • How to write a CV (resume) in a job application.
  • Prepare knowledge, review knowledge to answer job interviews.
  • Experience in job interviewing suitable for students.

Many necessary practical knowledge was presented by expert Nguyen Quyet that interested IT students such as: What is the appropriate CV length; What content should be presented, necessary dress and manners for job interviews, how to answer questions from employers, etc. IT expert Nguyen Quyet of VTI Academy Company presented at the Workshop.

Thus, innovating training programs and closely coordinating with IT corporations and IT enterprises are new points in IT training at Dai Nam University. Thereby, creating conditions for IT students of the University to have practical knowledge, experience applying knowledge and practicing professional skills, ensuring that students meet the needs of businesses. With this new vitality, the University's lecturers and students are passionate in the process of teaching, learning and scientific research.

Being trained in such an environment, students will certainly grow up, find suitable jobs, and meet the needs of businesses after each school year and upon graduation. This is the determination of the teachers and students of the entire Faculty of the School.
