INTRODUCTION
On August, 14th 2013, the Ministry of Education & Training issued the Decision No.2965/QĐ-BGDĐT that permits Dai Nam University to open the university major of medicine and pharmacy, program code 52720401
In the year 2013 – 2014, Dai Nam University opened the first admission of university pharmacist training. There were 300 students accepted in the first admission.
I. STRUCTURE OF THE DEPARTMENT

II. INFRASTRUCTURE
1. Classroom, lecture hall
The university reserves the whole 6th floor of the building at the main campus for the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy. The floor has 01 lecture hall with the size of 120 students, and 02 smaller lecturers with the size of 60 students.
2. Laboratory
The Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy has 07 laboratories, each lab has the size of 35 square meters, enough for 20 – 25 students.
1) Laboratory for Chemistry;
2) Laboratory for Physics – Chemistry;
3) Laboratory for Plant – Herbs – Traditional Pharmacy;
4) Laboratory for Biomedical – Biochemistry;
5) Laboratory for Pharmacology – Clinical Pharmacy;
6) Laboratory for Medicinal Chemistry – Testing;
7) Laboratory for Medicine Preparation – Technology.
The practice pharmacy store is 100 m2 in size, arraged by the GPP standard for students to practice the communication skill, consulting skill, prescription analysis and medicine sale.
The herb garden is 300m2in size, planting the herbs permitted by the regulations of the Ministry of Health by the Decision No. 5486/QĐ-BYT dated Dec 27th 2006.

Practice sites for graduation: The Faculty has signed contracts with a number of pharmacy company, Hanoi Cosmetic and Pharmacy Testing Centre, 103 Military Medical Institute, Ha Dong Medical Centre, Ha Dong General Hospital, and some other medical sites for students to practice.
II. Equipment
The Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy has purchased the equipment, facilities, tools and chemicals by the Decision No. 5486/QĐ-BYT of the Ministry of Health on “Standard equipment, facilities, tools and chemicals for practice room of the university level pharmacist training”

4. Library, textbooks, books
Dai Nam University has 01 library with the size of 340 m2and 4000 books of all majors. The Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy has added the textbooks required by the Ministry of Education & Training and the Ministry of Health.
In 2014, the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy has published the Lecture content for professional courses written under the cooperation between lecturers of the Faculty and lecturers from Hanoi University of Pharmacy and other professionals in the Pharmacy Major.
