What is the school's admission process?

In 2024, Dai Nam University (school code DDN) will enroll students according to the following methods:

Method 1: Use the results of 03 subjects from the high school graduation exam results according to the registered combination for admission consideration.

In addition to the general conditions as prescribed, candidates applying for admission must meet the following mandatory conditions to be considered for admission under this method:

• Candidates must have graduated from high school or equivalent;
• Have exam results that meet the quality assurance threshold set by the School after receiving the 2023 high school graduation exam results, except for the Health Sector as set by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Method 2:

Use the results of grade 11 and semester 1 grade 12 transcripts according to the combination to register for admission:

• Admission is based on the total average score of the 11th grade year and the 1st semester of the 12th grade according to the subject combination for admission. Admission score = (Score of subject 1 + Score of subject 2 + Score of subject 3). Subject 1 score = (Average score of the entire 11th grade year, subject 1 + Average of semester 1, subject 1, grade 12) / 2; Subject 2 score, Subject 3 score are calculated similarly to Subject 1 score.

Use the results of 03 subjects from the 12th grade high school study results according to the registered combination for admission consideration.

In addition to the general condition that candidates must graduate from high school or equivalent as above, candidates must: Have results of 03 subjects for admission from the 12th grade high school study results that meet the quality assurance threshold:

• Medicine and Pharmacy majors must have a grade 12 academic record of Excellent or a high school graduation score of 8.0 or higher and a total score of 3 subjects according to the admission combination of ≥ 24 points.
• Nursing major must have a grade 12 academic record of Good or higher or a high school graduation score of 6.5 or higher and a total score of 3 subjects according to the admission combination of ≥ 19.5 points.
• For other majors: total score of 3 subjects according to admission combination ≥ 18 points.

Method 3: Direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the School.

In addition to the general condition that candidates must graduate from high school or equivalent as above, candidates must meet one of the regulations on direct admission specified in Article 8 of the University Admissions Regulations of Dai Nam University.

HOW ARE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION EXAM SCORES CONSIDERED?

For the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, students need to register their wishes to enter the school at the Ministry of Education and Training's Admissions Portal or the National Public Service Portal according to the general plan and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training and participate in the high school graduation exam. Depending on the year, the floor score will be different.

For 2023, the benchmark score based on the school's high school graduation exam score is as follows:

DOES THE SCHOOL HAVE A DORMITORY?

The school has a dormitory for students to stay right on campus at the address: No. 1, Xom Street, Phu Lam, Ha Dong, Hanoi. Dai Nam University dormitory has a total area of 5000m2 with 144 rooms, serving 1400 accommodation for students.

Inside the dormitory are items such as: canteen, private toilet, private space with wardrobe, bed, all rooms are equipped with air conditioner, water heater to serve the living of students with the price in 2023: 400 thousand/person (not including electricity, water, Internet costs...), a room for students will be a maximum of 8 people, room rent will be collected periodically.

The school is currently building a 15-storey student hotel to accommodate 2,384 students. The hotel is designed in a modern style, fully equipped, managed and operated according to the 2-4 star hotel model, ensuring the different needs of students (room for 1 student, room for 2 students, room for 4 students, room for 6 students, room for 8 students...). The student hotel is expected to be put into operation in 2025.
