As Mr. Simon Schweigert confirmed at the Signing Ceremony of Cooperation between Dai Nam University (DNU) and Health Careers International Education Joint Stock Company (HCI) - Australia.

On December 13th, 2022, Dai Nam University (DNU) formally held the Signing Ceremony of Cooperation with the delegation of the Health Careers International Education Joint Stock Company (HCI) - Australia.

The ceremony honorably welcomed the presence of Dai Nam University’s representatives, including the Board of Directors, Heads of Offices & Departments, along with lecturers and staff from Nursing faculty.

On the side of HCI, there were the participation of Mr. Simon Schweigert - CEO of HCI Australia; Ms. Le Thi Hoai Huong - Regional Director of HCI Vietnam; Mr. Do Dinh Trong - Vice COO of HCI Vietnam; Ms. Phan Thi Huyen Trang - Director of MWT Vietnam Joint Stock Company.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Hong expressed his expectation that the Signing Ceremony of Cooperation would mark a turning point in the training and internationalization of Nursing major at DNU

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Hong - Rector of Dai Nam University sent sincere thanks to the distinguished guests from HCI for spending time to visit and work with Dai Nam University. He appreciated the achievements of HCI in Quality education and stated that: “Enhancing the experience between studying and working at enterprises plays an important role in the strategy of building an academic ecosystem for students of Dai Nam University; especially with particular majors as Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy. DNU focuses on practices, enhances practical experiences, and meets the demand of Medical facilities so that all of the graduates can get to work without taking time for training again. I do believe that the cooperation between DNU and HCI will contribute to improving the quality of training as well as practical skills, and increasing job opportunities for Nursing students after graduation.” 

Mr. Simon Schweigert shared his thoughts about the Training program for lecturers and students of DNU at HCI

Mr. Simon Schweigert said: “The increasing demand for healthcare has led to a shortage of high-quality medical Human resources in many countries around the world. As a result, many countries, including Australia, are managing to recruit well-qualified personnel to meet the growing need for a healthcare workforce”. 

Ms. Le Thi Hoai Huong suggested that HCI would offer many supported packages to students and lecturers of the Nursing Faculty during their studies

Key points in Training Cooperation between the two sides

After discussing the main points, the two sides agreed to cooperate in exchanging information on Education & Training systems and policies to support educational innovation. 

1. Organizing the exchange of students and lecturers; creating conditions for Nursing students and lecturers of Dai Nam University to have access to scientific advances in the medical field.

2. HCI provides Training programs to improve general English language proficiency for Nursing lecturers and students of Dai Nam University. 

3. HCI offers Online Training programs and International certificates for Nursing students at Dai Nam University, including: Certificate III in Personal Care (Caring for the elderly and disabled); Certificate IV in Elderly Care; Certificate IV in Healthcare Administration...

4. Organizing short-term and long-term courses following the topics for Nursing students at Dai Nam University, such as: supporting Nursing care in the acute environment, providing palliative care methods, handling challenging behaviors, transferring clients, doing the cleanup, being responsible for Health and Safety issues at work…

5. HCI provides a full package of counseling, career guidance and job introduction programs for students...

The Signing Ceremony marks an important first step in the gradual process of internationalizing the Nursing major of Dai Nam University. Following signed training cooperation agreements, Nursing students of DNU will be trained to meet the requirements of professional knowledge and skills according to Australian standards, especially with  English proficiency to get to work right after graduation and integrate well in the international environment.
