How do DNU Communication students practice?

In order to train quick-witted media personnel who can keep up with the trends and flows of society, the Faculty of Communication at Dai Nam University especially focuses on promoting practical training for students according to the motto "Practice as you learn". Students not only "harvest" lessons and experiences that are close to the profession, but also develop their creativity, foster their love and enthusiasm for the field of Communication.

Thoroughly apply practice in each subject

With a strong practical training program, students of the Faculty of Communication are able to “get started” in producing media products (publications, films, photos, etc.), projects, events, etc. right from the first year and throughout the learning process. Students are able to use the Studio with modern, brand-new equipment to create products, organize professional seminars, etc.

This helps students apply theory to practice, have a more multi-dimensional, realistic and vivid view of the profession. At the same time, it stimulates students' creativity and explores many new and unique ideas.

Practice your skills through professional competitions and talk shows with famous speakers.

The Faculty of Communication regularly organizes professional competitions in the form of photos, videos, MCs, etc. to enhance students' experiences and training.

Among them, the Speak Up Dai Nam contest has created a buzz and become a place to support the dreams of young people who love the MC profession. The contest has attracted hundreds of contestants from more than 20 different universities in Hanoi.

Many famous MCs and editors such as Hanh Phuc, Son Lam, Phan Doanh… all evaluated this as a contest with good expertise, meticulousness, and good exploitation of the talent and passion of students for the profession of “holding the microphone”. This is the cradle for many famous MCs later.

In addition, famous speakers who are editors of Vietnam Television such as Thuy Van, Son Lam, etc. also regularly come to the Faculty of Communication in talk shows and seminars to exchange and share experiences in practical journalism and communication activities. The events are always eagerly awaited and responded to by students.

Reality in press agencies, television and businesses

Practical experience at press agencies, television stations and businesses is an annual activity of the Faculty of Communication. From these trips, in addition to students being exposed to real journalism and communication activities, many opportunities for practical training cooperation at press agencies and large businesses are also opened up. Many students of the DNU Faculty of Communication become collaborators of press agencies and businesses after the practical experience trips.

Workshop to share experiences and practice

Practical workshops are a model that many students respond to when focusing on the subject and being operated under the direct guidance of experts. The Faculty of Communication has organized many workshops to train and foster different specialties such as: photography, filming, film editing, podcast production, etc. to help students acquire and practice on real products. This activity is very interested and highly appreciated by students.
