The Faculty of Accounting was established since the first days of Dai Nam University by the Decision No.1535/TTg dated Nov 14th 2007 of the Prime Minister. The Faculty of Accounting is considered as one of the leading faculties of the university.
I. GENERAL INTRODUCTION

The Faculty of Accounting was established since the first days of Dai Nam University by the Decision No.1535/TTg dated Nov 14th 2007 of the Prime Minister. The Faculty of Accounting is considered as one of the leading faculties of the university.
- Along with the fundamental knowledge, the faculty provides the following professional courses:
· Accounting Postulate;
· Financial Accounting (for student within and outside of the field);
· Computerized Accounting;
· Banking Accounting;
· Managerial Accounting;
· Business Performance Analysis; Business Finance Analysis;
· Fundamental Auditing;
· Financial Statement Auditing;
· Tax Accounting;
· Administrative Accounting;
· International Accounting;
· Internal Auditing;
· Operation Auditing and Compliance;
· Commercial Bank Internal Control;
· Accounting Structure and Activity Establishment;
· Accounting Information System;
· Law of Accounting and Auditing.
After 7 years since the establishment, the Faculty of Accounting has produced thousands of bachelors in the accounting major for the society. These bachelors are currently working in many businesses, banks, financial institutions…; they are highly accepted by the society and are contributing to the socio-economic development of Vietnam.
II. TRAINING TARGETS
Accounting is a compulsory tool for the management in every organization. The job opportunity of accounting is wide and easy to find no matter what the condition of the economy. Thus, the target of the Faculty is to train Accounting bachelors who display professionalism, ethics, working skill and basic understanding of the socio-economy of Vietnam. Graduated students are able to analyze business performance and build accounting and auditing policies in organizations. Graduated students are also equipped with soft skills and foreign language knowledge (English with TOEIC standard – 450 points) to meet the demand in the international integration trend.
To fulfill that target, the Faculty of Accounting always follows the principle “Study accompanied by Practice” and combine theory and practice through field trips, internship and the program “General Accounting Practice at Cyber Business”. Students will have opportunities to work in a professional accounting environment using this program. After completing this program, students will have the experience equivalent to 2 years working, thus, helping them to apply for jobs more easily.
III. STRUCTURE OF THE FACULTY
The permanent lecturers of the faculty are enthusiastic teachers who have many years of experience in working or teaching in the Accounting/Auditing field in the organizations in modern methods.

Currently, the Faculty of Accounting has 18 permanent employees including 17 permanent lecturers and 01 administrative staff. Among the 17 lecturers, there are 5 Doctors, 10 Masters and 5 Ph.D. candidates and 01 Master student…
Every year, under the guidance of the Board of Management and the Board of Rectors, the Faculty opens the teacher examination to find new suitable lecturers to match the rising demand of the university and students.

Most of the invited lecturers are well-known teachers with high educational degree and position such as Associate Professor, Doctor, and Master who come from prestigious universities and institutions such as National Economics University, Foreign Trade University, Academy of Finance, Academy of Banking…

IV. ACTIVITIES OF THE FACULTY
Students of the faculty participated in the camping activity on the 5th Anniversary of the university
Annually, the Faculty prepares many field trips and meetings with representatives of many corporations, businesses and accounting/auditing companies such as Vietnam Mining & Minerals Corporation, Vietnam Cement Corporation, Viet – Asia Corporation, Dai Dung Corporation, Mai Linh Corporation, Alpha Company, Military Commercial Bank, International Bank, Techcombank… to help students practice and find jobs. The faculty also establishes ties with the British Association of Accounting to open many competitions and activities to improve the students’ soft skills.
